My daughter and I have been "grave hunting" for only 6 months but have loved visiting cemeteries for quite some time especially the very old cemeteries. We love the history, art and beauty of the older headstones.

If anyone sees an error in anything I have added to this site, please feel free to let me know and I will make the necessary changes.

RE: Fox Headstone

You're very welcome, Bobbi. Glad I could help out! Always nice to see interest in some of the graves I transcribed. Makes it worthwhile.

Rosannah Knight
I've received an email that Forest Home has found a record of Rosannah Knight 1853-1918. They have not given me the location of the grave, though. They say she is buried in a single-grave area, so she may have no headstone to photograph. Single-plots were more cost-effective and often went unmarked. For more information and the grave location, you can call Forest Home Cemetery to follow up.

Knight Photo Request
Since Forest Home Cemetery is so huge, you might try contacting the fully staffed office for location information on Rosannah Knight's grave. The office can usually tell you if she had a gravestone at the time of her burial. During the pandemic there were quite a few burials without, and since her husband was already gone and his is the only gravestone pictured, I would assume there is no grave for Rosannah, but have someone pull the Lot Card for her, they should be able to tell you more. You can email Nely at Nelsisg@foresthomecemetery(dot)com

I have fulfilled your photo request. The day was extremely bright and it was difficult for me to get the inscription on Amborse's headstone to show up. I took additional photos up close showing the inscription better. I will be happy to send the extra photos to you if you like just let me know. Happy to help you. Good luck in your search and compilation of your family history.
