Thanks a lot for posting the photo of the headstone. Chuck.
sorry but I think you have this memorial in the wrong cemetery. There is no sherwood cemetery in Paulding county, but there is one in Shewood which is a few miles away in Defiance County. Regards

You're very welcome!
Also, I don't know if you're familiar with the site, but SEEKING MICHIGAN has all the digitial Michigan Death Certificates from 1897-1920, if you have any other Michigan relatives that died during that period. It's a great resource!
Good luck with your continued adventures in genealogy.

I just found your 'Find A Grave' memorial to MARY ANN (HOLMES) CRAIG. She was the second wife of my uncle, GEORGE MELOY. I linked their memorials.
Here is their marriage record.
TUSCOLA COUNTY, MICHIGAN, MARRIAGE RECORDS (1902), Pg. 351, Record No. 251 - GEO. L. MELOY & MARY A. CRAIG, married 27 October 1902, Vassar, Mich. GEORGE (Farmer), 51, residing in Fremont, b. MI, son of WM. S. MELOY & FANNIE VELESSON [PATTERSON]. MARY, 52, residing in Fremont, b. England, dau. of [UNKNOWN]. Married by Rev. P.J. Blackford. Witnesses: L.M. Blackford & Mary E. Losima(?), both of Vassar. Both George & Mary had been married once previously
Also, I added her Death Certificate to her memorial. Note, if you will, that the date and place of death are different on the death certificate from what you have on her memorial.
Are you related to Mary? I know very little about my Uncle George Meloy's family other than he was married twice and seems to have had two children with his first wife, ALICE NOLAN. George and Alice appear to have been divorced for Alice remarried in 1897 to GEORGE W. WARREN, a brick and tile manufacturer. In 1902 George married Mary Ann Craig.
