Rachel Magden headstone photo
Hi - You have her middle initial as "E." on Rachel's worn 1855 headstone, but it was actually a "P." The lines at the bottom of the letters on that headstone make it resemble as "E." Rachel was a niece of Mary "Polly" (Fox) Reynolds, who was the last wife of my GGG grandfather John Reynolds in Wayne Co., NY. Sharon

RE: Noah Thornton
You're welcome. It makes me feel good when I can fulfill a photo request, and when I hear back then I know that it was really wanted. Thanks

Gordenier comment
I received this message today from you, via SAC:
"This is Harry Gordenier - not Henry Gordenier."

I would like to take a moment to respond. Yes I was raised in the 1950s by parents who taught me not only manners, but to treat others as I would like to be treated. When I find an error on a memorial I write a note to the creator similar to this:
"Thank you so much for creating this memorial for my family member. The marker is difficult to read and you may have thought it said Henry, but it really is Harry. If you would please take a moment to change it I would appreciate it."

I not only took the time to walk the cemetery, photograph the headstone, and create the memorial, but I also called the church to double check the name before I added it, because it was difficult to read. I called them again today and was told I could see the record on line here: and it does say Henry. So maybe you need to get the cemetery records corrected if you have documentation. Till then I will add a note that it may be Harry.
