I'm entering memorial pages to remember those who have completed their journey here. I believe the Find A Grave burial registry helps us to preserve history and is an extremely useful genealogical tool. I especially love to hear from folks who have found a family member or friend through a memorial that I created, that gives real meaning to this work. If you have any corrections or additions to suggest on memorials that I have created, I will take care of them, usually within a week. If you want any records transferred to you that are not in my family, please do not hesitate to ask.

To my friends who have decorated the graves of my precious daughter, Tammy Jo Modglin, and my Mom and Dad, Dorothy Darlene Brown and Carmel Garth Brown, and my sister, Judith Ann "Judy" Brown, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness is very much appreciated, as I decorate also for as many as I can, too.

God Bless All Of You...

Hope Rowe Thomson #138338412
There is a new headstone photo for Hope Rowe.

There are multiple people on the headstone:
Stewart M. Thomson
Lillian Sheppard
Hope Rowe

And on the reverse side:
Donald Thomson
John Thomson

I'm confused as to how these people are related.

Stewart M Thomson looks like he was Stewart Munn Thomson (a merchant tailor in Brantford) - there's an online bio for him that says he came to Canada in 1871, his wife was Mary Gentles & they were married on May 26, 1873.

The 1911 census shows Mary Thomson & a daughter Lillie b. Oct 1896. However, the 1901 census doesn't show any children. No children shown in 1881 or 1891 census either. So could Sheppard be Lillian's married name?

I'm not sure how Hope Rowe fits in. She would have been too young to be a wife of Stewart Thomson. Also, she couldn't have been a wife of Donald or John since they died before she was born.

John Thomson age 31 is listed with Stewart & Mary in 1881 census - so possibly he was a brother? Haven't found anything yet on Donald.

I'm going to try to research this more - just wanted to let you know about the headstone photo and these new mysteries.

Walter Jones
Thank you for the information re the grave of Walter Jones. Can you tell me if the name and dates are inscribed on the stone? I am a descendant of Walter's brother, John Jones in Jarvis, Ontario. Are the two names you have included on the grave information descendants of Walter Jones? Thank you again! Your caring attention is very much appreciated.

RE: Fountain Wagoner
The death record says he is buried at Mt. Olive but that could be an error. I was hoping you would know for sure. Here is the death record:

Indiana Deaths. Martin County. Fountain Waggoner. Died Williams, IN. 2-1-1921. Cause: Pneumonia. Born 7-29-1837 IN. Parents: Elec Waggoner, IN. Harriet Couch. Buried Mt. Olive 2-3-1921. Physician: H. H. Isaacs. Undertaker: P. Lehman, Owensburg. Pg 15.
