Avard Cemetery
I am so sorry I have not gotten back to you about the location of the Avard Cemetery. I was entering the information for an organization here in Woods County and wasn't aware I was getting messages on my contributor page. I see you did get the directions so hopefully you have found it by now. Please accept my apologies. I'll try to do better.

RE: Avard Cemetery, OK
Yes, I know where the Avard Cemetery is. Go west from Alva on Hywy. 64, after about 7 or 8 miles, there is an asphalt road to the south. I think there is a green sign at that intersection with name, Avard, and arrow to the south. Go south on that road and you will see two grain elevators. Cross the railroad tracks (they roll trains through there at 60 mph, so obey the traffic arms!) You then continue on two blocks and you will come to a east-west asphalt road, go east two blocks and then turn north on the asphalt street. After about 3 blocks you will cross another set of active tracks, take care since no RR crossing arms. Look both ways! The road becomes gravel after the tracks, and you will pass between the elevators. Continue on the gravel road as it curves to the northeast. The cemetery will be on your right after a mile or two. Locals call it "Cemetery Road" and parts are not gravel & can be very muddy after a rain.

RE: Scavone
The only Scavone listed that you don't have already is:
Virginia Mary Scavone
Died in 2004 at 82.
She is buried alone and not with the other 4 Scavone(s).

RE: Scavone
I added photos to the new memorials you made and I will check with Holy Sepulchre to see if any other Scavone(s) are buried there.
