|Linda Koski||Alexander Beard Sr. and Jr.|
I don't know about you, but I think it would be an improbable coincidence if both Alexanders died in the same month and year, July 1868. I could never find any information on the death of Alexander Jr. This memorial is the first I've seen showing a death date. Thoughts?
Rebecca Ogle..Thank you and I corrected. I have researched Whaley family for 20 years and know of the Alexander Whaley that you're referring to. I believe him to be the brother of William M Whaley and Middleton Whaley 1788-1880 of Sevier,Tennessee

Would you like to take over the memorial for Johnson Watts? You seem to know more than I do.
|Annette Abbott||Margaret Hays|
Oh I forgot to mention the only census I can find with Margaret and Alexander in it is the 1850 census. Not find them in the 1860 census I don't know why or where they are. Margaret used the surname Whalley even though her marriage to Alexander was not legal.
|Annette Abbott||Margaret Hays|
Margaret Hays was my great great great grandmother. When she left Alabama she was with my great great great grandfather Alexander Whaley. They had to leave Alabama because Alexander was legally married to someone else. In those days they would be breaking the law so they had to go somewhere else where they stood live and not be in trouble. First Tennessee according to census records from 1850 Poinsett County Arkansas. The first two children they had together we're born in Tennessee. And they move to Arkansas. Their son Riley was my great great grandfather supposedly Alexander and Margaret had a wedding ceremony Arkansas to convince people they were married but the marriage was not legal and in 1863 when Alexander died his pension from the war of 1812 went to his legal wife Ruth in Alabama. She lived to be a hundred years old dying weeks before for 101 first birthday in 1887.

Thank you for the information; I added it to his bio. I'm going to try to do some research on his family. Do you know where his parents are buried? Or if you have the links and want me to transfer his memorial to you, I will.
