RE: Fitchett Cemetery
Thanks very much Shirley for checking your book.
Union Cemetery Sweetsburg listed here has an AKA Winchester Cemetery. All the different names add to the struggle to find/locate these old cemeteries. On one website a cemetery may be listed as X and on another it is listed as A. Many give very vague locations - almost impossible find. But that's all part of the fun?, I guess.
Thanks

RE: Sherman Ingalls transferred to Farnam's Corner
Hi Shirley

I have added the photos for Sherman J Ingalls.
You are very welcome for the photos - I enjoy travelling up and down these back roads.
Your book may be quite valuable - thanks for the info about Wing Cemetery. I couldn't find it though. From the information here at Find A Grave, it looks like it is very small. I also hope to visit Bates Cemetery. I have specific directions now from a contributor on another website. When I saw the picture of the gate, I assumed that it would be on the roadside. I drove down Bullard Road but of course did not see it.
When you have a minute or two, could I ask you to please check the book for Fitchett Cemetery.

Thanks for your help.

RE: Alexander
Yes, John Gilbert is Elizabeth's brother, I did not have any info on his wife, but I had his birth & death dates, and they are the same you posted, I would love for you to make a memorial, you can link him to the same parents, as Elizabeth, they are the same.

and yes! Mary Lampman Hurdle is the one I have been looking for! thank you.

Thank you so much for finding these! Deb

RE: East Dunham Cemetery
Hello Shirley

You're very welcome for the transfers.

Yes, there is an East Dunham Cemetery.
I am returning to Farnam's Corner Cemetery to look for a stone for someone else, so I will certainly look for Mary and Sherman Ingalls.
That's odd that they would be buried in different cemeteries - so it will be interesting to find out.
One note - on Mary's memorial you wrote that she died in Sweets Corner - I think that might be Sweetsburg, today known as Cowansville.
Also interesting to note - Mary's maiden name is Harvey - there is a Harvey Cemetery not far from Farnam's Corner Cemetery. In the description of Harvey Cemetery is says that it is across the road from Farnam's but that is incorrect.

RE: All Saints Anglican Cemetery
I agree, searching for cemeteries is not easy. It would help, that once you were searching in Canada, you could then search by province, instead of having to scroll through 'all of Canada'
Actually I didn't start the cemetery. It was already listed. About a week later I stumbled upon another duplicate. I don't recall at this moment how it was listed.
I will request that the empty cemetery be deleted.
Thanks for your help.

RE: All Saints Anglican Cemetery
Thanks for getting back to me.

To fix the problem, I suggest you move your memorials with the Burial: Edit button.
Then if you are a member of the Discussion Forums, you can request that the empty cemetery be deleted. If you are not familiar with the forums, I can include the request with some other corrections I have. Just let me know.

Alexander
No I don't the name of the cemetery he is buried in, there is some information that he may be the Gilman Alexander that went to Troy Michigan, but I am trying to figure that out now. I worked on this family in the 1990's for the most part, I did have some look up some of the records, and she is the one that found this Gilman that moved to Troy, assuming that it was my Gilman that was married to Betsey Gilbert, unfortunately I am not sure that is correct at all, and I had posted a public tree in 1996 on ancestry.com with that connection, so a lot of people have attached it as well. I keep my tree private now, because I have found so much of my info when I try to do a search it is frustrating, I don't mind sharing but they connect the entire tree down to my own family and yet we only connect 10 or so generations back, so it makes it harder to research. As for Betsey Gilbert, I did not know much about here, or if she had died and that is why Gilman went to Troy and remarried? I am directly related to to Gilman & Betsey's son Gilman Alexander, and he is buried in NH - I would love to share my infor with you and you to share yours on the Gilbert family with me, my email is DMDonovan@aol.com. I have not heard about that book. I did do some research at the Amercian Canadian Genealogy Society library in Manchester, NH, and will return there soon to recheck some of the information I did in the 90's. I live in NH, and the library is about 30 mins away from me, but they are only open certain hours so I will have to check the hours and make a plan! I would be happy to do some research for you there as well when I go. I am a member, when I did the bulk of my Canadian research it was mostly Catholic records, but maybe they have more holdings, there was only book on the Protestant churchs of Dunham availabe. I look forward to hearing from you again soon - Deb

Dunham, Quebec
Shirley - are you close to Dunham, Quebec and can do research? I would be interested in getting information on The Alexander family that was living there, as well as the Hurdle, and Lampman families. I would love photo's of their graves. ~ Debby
