Zenus Bangs Memorial comments
Hi DJ,
I am a descendant of Edward Bangs thorough Allen Bangs and Rebecca Howes. Allen was born about 1733/34 and served in the Rev. War as did his son Zenus. Both Allen and Zenus are 2 of my proven DAR patriots, however I am curious about the statement "the children of Allen and Rebecca Bangs could trace their ancestry through five Revolutionary soldiers to two of the Mayflower passengers". I know of 3 of my Mayflower ancestors but was not a where of any other Revolutionary soldiers in the Bangs family history.
Could you please contact me with the information about who the 5 Rev. soldiers were?
Thank you,
Anne Andrews

Julia Louise Morgan Jones
Hi DJ -

I am working on genealogy for my granddaughter. One of her great great grandmothers is Julia Louise Morgan Jones (1887-1965). She is descended from Julia's daughter Clara Louise Jones Knott.

It seems that Wilbur and Julia Jones had 4 children. Clara Louise's birth certificate says she is their 3rd child. I have Morgan Troman Jones (1911-1923) as the first child and Nina Coralie Jones Godfrey (1916-1964) as the fourth child.

In the photo posted at Julia's memorial 22465741 there is Julia and "Louise" and another little girl. Might the little girl "Louise" be daughter Clara Louise? And the other little girl her older sister? I can't read the older girl's name. I'd really like to fill in child number two for this family.

Thanks - Janice - jlchipman@aol.com

Hey, nice to meet another family relative. You can catch me on Facebook if you like. I'd like to know more about you and your family. My GPA, Dewey Wilburn Cook moved to WA state away from Hughes Springs, TX. I was raised up there in Olynpia, WA. I have 2 daughters and a bunch of grandkids, and soon to be a great GMA. We moved to Kingman, AZ due to health issues and glad we did. My GGGMA Isabelle McKnight Cook I found recently looks just like me. I think the photo was from cousin Sherry McClellan. Hope to hear from you soon!

RE: Micah Bryant
Hi DJ,

Yes, I am related. Bryant is my maiden name and he is my 2 x's great grandfather. I have a bunch of research about the family and have gotten the line approved for the Mayflower Society and DAR. He is a descendant of 4 Mayflower passengers with lines through both father and mother. His mother is buried in the old mountain cemetery in New Vineyard which I recently obtained a photo of and set up memorials for his parents on here.

Are you related?

Regards,

Kathleen Bryant Powell

Thomas Chase
Hello, a couple questions about Thomas Chase, #61520238.
(1) It says he was part of the Constitutional Convention. As far as I know, this refers to the conventions that met to form the Declaration of Independence & Constitution? But this Thomas was born in 1782, and so he couldn't have been.

(2) This says his parents are Thomas & Desire. Is there a source for this? Many other online trees show different parents. So I'm trying to identify the correct ones.

Thanks.

Hi, I came across one of your sites you manager and I wonder if you are a relative. The person I was looking at was Eliza C. Hicks. Her mother in law would be the Hicks I listed in subject line. Please let me know if we connect. Eliza was the 2nd wife to John Cook, my 3rd great grandfather. Thanks.

cofer -- Tate
I am of the Cofer kin. Do you connect to the Cofer or the Tate? Are Mary and James Tate buried in unmarked graves? As I have walked this cemetery lot of time and I either have missed their graves or their is no marker. Please e-mail me at dtallent@tds.net with the info. Most of my kin are buried here. Thanks Dorothy Tallent
