|Lisa Martin||James Ross|
I'm sorry strike the last message.. I believe that James is one of the ones buried in a private family cemetery. I'm still working on getting the records for that cemetery.

In Greenwood/Ross Cemetery- Can we add his wife #54770922 to him. Also I have his middle name as an A.
Another researcher is listing a James Nelson Ross as the one married to Mary Jane Swartz Ross, however going over my greatgrandmother Ethel Ross Smith, journal records she has his middle name as A and not Nelson. As I understand from her journal records while alive she over seen that the cemetery was properly taken care of through willed money from the Ross family.
|Cathy and Tim Sheffler||James Ross / Hickory Grove|
Hi. I'd like to suggest that you delete the entry for James Ross from Hickory Grove. I searched about some and decided that it was likely that he is in Greenwood (formerly Ross) Cemetery in Wyoming County. I know his wife is buried there. There are records under Greenwood for both James and Mary Jane (actually, duplicate records for both -- I need to see if the owners can straighten that out). The bad news is that I don't believe we'll find a stone for James. The current cemetery owner doesn't have a map for burials that old and I've walked the cemetery several times without luck.
|David Mitchell||RE: Burgess Cornett|
This is the only Cornett buried at White Graves Cemetery, there is no Cornett in census of Gordon County in 1870 or 1880. It is my thought that he cane to Gordon County after 1880.
White Graves--Coosawattee is a small church in North East Gordon County, I can't find a phone number for the church.
You might try calling the man at the NAPA auto parts store in Fairmount, GA., he was a member at White Graves at one time. This is a small parts store and he is the only one there. His # is 706-337-2626

While searching for another grave, I found Rebecca Mann's grave in the Oak Hill Cemetery across from the Floyd County Library. Just wanted to let you know in case you want to correct the location in your records. Have a great day!

Hi! I'm curious if you could perhaps try and contact the caretaker of Hickory Grove Cemetery and ask if they know at least what section James Ross is buried in? I have been there at least 15 times and haven't ever seen a James Ross. There is one other Ross stone, but not with a James. More information would be a great help as I so want to find James and help!!! Thanks!
