Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on my and my wife's family tree for over fifteen years.

Family names include Goodwin, Price, Jefferson, Perdue, Tucker, Askren, Gray and Burich on my side and Smith, Ellington, Lowery, Dedmon, Dubberly, Johnson, Jordan and Strayhorn on my wife's side. This work is documented in an open family tree at named Goodwin-Price, Jefferson-Perdue / Tucker-Askren, Gray-Burich.

In, I have restricted my work primarily to family members, all of which are linked to each other, and when available include pictures of grave markers and pictures of the individual.

I do not have an issue with others using pictures that I have posted and there is not a need to ask my permission.

I am happy to share information.

RE: Ella Gray Kaye
You're welcome - glad to help! By the way, I also added a memorial & photos for (I assume) Ellas's husband, James Frederick Kaye (1863-1929). His grave is right next to Ella's.

Hi, Jim...I couldn't help but notice your tree at and, of course, your photos of so many folks here at My mother was a BEHELER and I am deep into family research right now...going on my 6th year. I have to ask - who are you related to the Behelers and how in the world did you acquire those photos? They are gold! Thanks so much for the information, etc. - it made my day. Feel free to email me if that works better - I live in Plano, Texas...Thank you!

Stafford's at Benson Cemetery
Jim, do you have a Delena Stafford and a Rody J. Stafford in your tree? They are buried next to John and Ralph Stafford, but they are very hard to read. Delena looks like she died in 1870 as a girl and was the dau. of J & M Stafford. Rody J (might be a letter in front of the R) also looks to be a girl and the dau. of R & S Stafford. I will try and get the memorials and photos up now for you. let me know if you want me to transfer them over to you.

Ralph Stafford & Benson
Finally trying to finish up adding memorials for Benson and found one for your Ralph Stafford. I think I have another Stafford or two yet to add. I think there will be about a 100 memorials at Benson or more when I'm done! A lot more than I had originally guessed. Have a good day Jim.

Benson Cemetery

Finally got out to Benson today, photographed the entire cemetery.....there are at least double the number of graves there that are listed here on findagrave. The cemetery is maintained, but many or most of the markers are falling apart, worn, falling down or just plain missing from their bases. I found only 1 Embree, William, but that certainly doesn't mean his parents aren't buried there. In fact, there is a base right near Willam's grave where the stone is missing and my guess would be it was theirs. One would need to use some special equipment to find where the stones are now, probably buried under dirt along the perimeters or in the cemetery itself. I will enter the new names I found today, but it will be slow going, as most are difficult to decipher and I want to be as accurate as possible. I did find Mary Gray's however, so there's one for you :)
