RE: Dulaneys @ Oakwood Cem Denison
Ok, I admit it... My research has come up cold on these two:

New found burials:
Barnard Y Dulaney
Elmo Edward Dulaney

So, how did you find any info on them?

RE: DC & burials at Oakwood
Yes, please continue to send the DC & newly found burials at Oakwood to me via message, either here on Find A Grave or via my personal email since you have that now. I have just finished entering burials to Find A Grave for Sherman & Denison from the Death Certificates on ancestry.com for Apr-Jun 1912. I figure that is a good stopping point for now so I can start in on adding the ones from the TX Gen Web site as well as the ones you messaged me about on Find A Grave. I work during the day, but usually make time every evening after dinner to work on my ancestry stuff & adding burials to Find A Grave.

Denisons most notorious murder
Elaine,

Have you ever run across this story before?

https://texashistory.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metapth313891/m1/4/zoom/?q=%22Oakwood%22&resolution=2&lat=8264&lon=4632

If you send me your email address I can forward you a bunch of articles that my husband found on this story, including the letter the Governor wrote explaining the reason for commuting his sentence from death to life in prison.

RE: TX Gen Web obits
Thanks for permission to enter the obits you have on the website into Find a Grave. I will finish up the Death Certs from Jan -Mar 1912 (as that is a good stopping point) then I will start in on adding memorials to Find A Grave based on the obits on the website :)

RE: Gate City Cemetery
I figured as much, but I was just curious if there was possibly an old cemetery out there that was used starting in late 1911 & early 1912 that A. J. Monday identifies on these Death Certs. The common denominator is that ALL of the ones I have run into that reference Gate City Cemetery are of African American burials, so was thinking that maybe Magnolia or Jeremiah or any of the other African American cemeteries around Denison may have also been known as Gate City Cemetery at one time. The other common denominator is that no other undertaker, other than A. J. Monday, references Gate City Cemetery. Anyway, I have collected these questionable Death Certs in a special folder and will research more on them as time permits. I might also try to find a way to send Dusty a message as he seems to enjoys a good puzzle regarding our old cemeteries in Grayson County.
