Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been interested in genealogy for over 30 years and research my family almost daily. Since joining Findagrave, I have become very interested in adding memorials and headstones for several cemeteries in the Orange County, California area.

I have added memorials for the Westminster Cemetery, Fairhaven Cemetery, Santa Ana Cemetery and Melrose Abbey Cemetery. I continue to work at these cemeteries adding memorials as time allows.

Any memorials I have added that are not related to me, I would be happy to transfer to a relative.

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
BY THELMA GREENE REAGAN

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where others cried
For loved ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

Thank you so much for taking the photo of my cousin's stone. I never got to meet her and never knew what she looked like. I'm so grateful to you for the time and trouble you took for me, to fulfill my request. Please know that your kindness will not be forgotten.

Van Gilder Photos
If you haven't gotten over to Melrose Abbey to take the pictures of Van Gilder I was finally able to find someone in the office to get the info and I got the pictures. Let me know and I will get them posted. (I thought I still had a few days left, sorry) Karen (craftypup2002@yahoo.com)

Would you be interested in transfering this memorial to me? She was my great grandfather's sister.
Thanks, Vince

RE: Earle Bovee
GOOD EYE, Chris. Though Earle was a 19thC man he caught the 20thC disease of divorce. Believe we have first/second marriage plots/memorials. See notes on each memorial and this
