|Monica Moriarty||Rev Robert Long|
Greetings Bill, What a wonderful biography you have shared about Rev Long. He certainly crossed paths with many historical families and lead an interesting life. I'm researching William Long and, based on what I have found, he is the son of Rev Long and Sarah Blackburn-Davis. My William, however, was born in Indiana and his middle name is Kincade. I have found William K living with Robert and Sarah on the 1850 census in Polk, Jefferson, Iowa along with his wife Cyrena and two of their sons Robert and Samuel F. The William in the biography is shown to have been born in Kentucky. Could you please check your records and confirm with me? Thank you, Monica

John is my 4th greatgrandfather and I have been searching for his grave site.
Do you have verification that he is buried here?
No sign of his first wife Phebe?
Is there another wife buried near him?
An ancestor of mine said that he was married twice. One to Phebe Everitt and also to another we do not know the name of. It is said that he had 12 children by each wife.
Is there a headstone for him there?
Any help appreciated
|Gayle Mandell||Burial site for Col. George Gale|
Hello, As you may be aware, there are two postings on Find A Grave for Col. George Gale, yours and my own, which I added since there was no photograph on your posting of Gale's burial site.
The photo was taken in the 90's at Gale's plantation, Tusculum, on Monie Creek in Somerset County, MD, where he is known to have been buried along with other family members. His tombstone no longer stands but is well documented in Somerset County, A Pictorial History, by Brice Neal Stump published in 1984. Additional information can be found on the page for George Gale of Maryland on my website, gale-gaylefamilies.com

|shelmore||Moore Family Query.|
Yet another person looking for an ancestral connection! I am looking for information on John MOORE, RAISEN's wife Martha's Grandfather. I can trace my Moore line to 1796 Pennsylvania, Only evidence we have for the date and place is that on all of the Federal census my 2x Great Grandfather John Moore consistantly is listed as being born in 1796 and in Pennsylvania. His wife, Susannah Lowery was born in 1806, Ohio. We have no death info on either of them or on their parents.
John Moore is a really fun name to . We have found that my brother has a J, M179 DNA grouping and from what I can discern the Moores in PA are mainly R's. I'm hopinh that I may be able to track your Maryland Moores down two or 3 generations to my John. Any information that you may know of regarding Moore descendants would be appreciated. I have traced 5 John Moores from 1796 Pa and definately proved they werern't it! SO.....Names that have been handed down are Abraham, William, Henry, John. Thanks for any info you may be able to share. I know that somebody out there somewhere has to know this family! (I HOPE!) :0

|Gayle Mandell||John "Gentleman" Gale|
Hello, I am curious about John Gentleman Gale as the father of Rasin and would love to know more. Do you have a source for this information? I have Rasin descended from Abraham Gale of Maryland but have also wondered about a connection to Col. George Gale of Somerset/Whitehaven.
Best regards, Gayle Mandell
|Jamie Heim||Martha Jane Long|
Hi, Could you please let me know of your source for her birthdate? As of the 1860 census she was listed as 14 years of age, making her either born in 1845/46. I'd love to know if you have further information on her. Thanks so much!!

|Karen Ann Schmid||Rasin Gale 1|
I just returned from Worton, MD and saw Rasin Gale and Mary C. Gale's Graves. I am trying to locate Rasin Gale Sr.'s grave which I believe to be in Fayette County, PA. (Chester Parrish). B. 1725 - D. 1797. His 2nd wife's name was Martha Moore, the sister of his 1st wife, Rebecca Moore. Do you or anyone else know where this couple is buried? I am his/their great grandaughter X5. My mother is the late Vera Gaynelle Gale, daughter of Henry Owens Gale, son of Henry Gale and Sophia Owens Gale.
