Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have just been recently bitten by the Family History Bug, thanks to my aunt. I have family resting in Coryell County (Flint Creek, Post Oak, and Mound (I believe) Cemeteries), McLennan County (McGregor City Cemetery), and Hays County (Hugo Cemetery and San Marcos Cemetery). I have found some interesting stories and would like to urge everyone to look into their past!

Julia Mayfield, Liberty Cemetery, Van Zandt
I was in Liberty this afternoon but was unable to find a marker for Julia. Dousing rods indicate a burial to the right of A.L., but no marker visible. A 2002 survey by Van Zandt Historical doesn't list her; it's good you were able to add her even though no marker is visible.

RE: Levi Solomon
Not related...

This Pitts line are ancestors of my nephew (actually he is married to my great niece)... and I do - A TON - of family research on all our lines (and allied lines)....

Also - - in my own family we have a Pitts line - - also goes back to South Carolina - - but have never been able to link it ...

Hope this isn't too confusing - it can be!!

RE: Levi Solomon
Not sure - - have not done research myself - - but seems that James Thomas Pitts (1762-1828) and Nancy Waldrop (1775-1834) (all South Carolina)... look to be likely ....

That's my best guess.. Because of the early dates - - would suggest looking for a will or land documents from Newberry, South Carolina ... if not at the county level - - then at the state archives there..

Good luck - - let me know ... Kathy

RE: I see awesomeness!
Hello, Cuz! Nice to meet ya. Thank you, thank you, thank you for such a pleasant, encouraging message! I find it interesting that some members choose to disable their messages, thereby preventing others from replying to their less-than-pleasant message. I find that interesting.

I'm curious as to what rule I broke, however. Help a cousin out. Below is the message I sent via the "Suggest A Correction" link:

"Thank you so much for creating this memorial. I thought I would let you know that this is memorial is Jesse Franklin Muse, Sr. I'm descended from his son, Jesse Franklin Muse, Jr. (17821872). I thought you may want to add the "Sr" suffix. Thank you again!!"
