I am interested in genealogy. I love to walk through old graveyards and read tombstone inscriptions.
I got started on Find a Grave when I was searching for my great grandparents and great-great grandparents' final resting places.
I am a retired teacher.

Hi Mary
Before I make the edit, I would like to ask you how is it that you know Catherine's maiden name?

Thank You
Thanks for the information on the Wassom's - I haven't worked on them for a couple years. I used to drive all over western Ill. seeking info. on the family!

RE: Ruckers in Williamson County
My paternal grandmother, Effie, was a Rucker. Since she had 3 sets of Rucker ancestor-cousins, there are LOTS of Rucker DNA hits on Fortunately, it was a healthy genome start to finish!

In Rucker shorthand, the branch I'm from is immigrant Peter's son John. They migrated to Caldwell County, KY and Williamson County, TN. Their 2nd cousins settled next door in Rutherford County about 1800, so sorting them out can be a challenge, what with having only 4 or 5 male names to go around.

Always glad to hear from another Rucker cousin!

Ruckers in Williamson County
After getting your link request, decided to dust around for more of those folks. Came across a pending edit or two that you'd sent to others, so thought you might be interested that I'd just added several more children and grandchildren at Mt Hope, plus requested links if they already had memorials. Thanks for the jump start!

Mrs. Partlow was also my 6th grade teacher. My 6th grade class met in the basement of the First Baptist Church. W.M. White was condemned while I was in the 5th grade and classes were held in the Baptist Church and Methodist Church while Ross Elementary was being built.
