RE: Mount Washington Cemetery, Missouri
Mount Washington used to be an amusement park up until the turn of the last century. About that time investors came together drained the lake and decided to turn it into a cemetery. Many notables from Kansas City history are buried there. It has never been turned over to the public for care. The current group, I believe Dignity, work from a business profit model. They did make the local news the last five years, over prepaid plots. The states Attorney General got involved. I've heard from other gravers they don't appreciate people going into the cemetery and searching out old graves. This is instanced by their office asking how you are related. If you choose to be truthful they give you a maximum number of locations they are willing to research, between 3-5 if they are not busy, otherwise they ask you to come back when they are not busy. When I lived in the area coming back would mean an hour in crosstown traffic. I have an aunt and uncle buried there. So am somewhat curious about the cemeteries future. Also in agreement the old sign was regal and beautiful and had stood for over 100 years.

RE: Memorial # 115779804
Thanks for the kind words. You can probably view this cert on line thru, this should have been completed and released in 2014. I work as an indexer for these doc's, and that is where I copied it from.

I get the info from death records. I don't know these people. The info. I added was on the death cert. . The City Cemetery could be wrong....I say wrong because at that time what they called City Cemetery, today could be a different place. All I can do is put down what I read off these cert's.
I'm sorry it is such a mystery for you. I'm sure someday it will make since. I have had these problems over the last 35 years of doing genealogy and find that like a puzzle, these tidbits will come together.

linking Franklin and Grace McKinley
Parents are added to their children's pages, so you'll need to go to Franklin's page and enter Grace's number using the automated edit system--it's very easy to use.

Siblings aren't added, they just automatically appear when people are linked to the same parent or parents. And the person him- or herself is shown in grey so that birth order can be easily seen.

You can add parent information for Grace McKinley's siblings on each person's page by clicking the Edit tab in the upper right corner.

And I'll be glad to transfer any of your family to you that you want.
