Thank you for your message. I applaud your work in repairing the headstones of our pioneer ancestors. As far as being "family" my Great Great Grandmother was Catherine Goldsberry wife of William Hickerson Barksdale, both buried in Breedlove Cemetery. Her Grandfather Robert Goldsberry is buried in the same cemetery. The other Goldsberrys are relatives to my Catherine; but they are not direct ancestors of mine. As far as I'm concerned I totally approve and encourage any restoration you wish to do on the headstones. I wish I lived close enough to be of help in this regard. I haven't been to the cemetery for close to 20 years.
Thank you again. You are doing Honorable work and it should be appreciated by all family members and anyone interested in local history.
My great-grandmother Emma Babcock Leffler first informed me about the family being there, and Elizabeth Thompson Robison's death certificate in Jefferson County, Kentucky mentions her burial there as well.
Isreal Harris Have entered info into the bio on all his children, including those from Sarah Williams Harris. I'm guessing that your relation is through his daughter Anna whose mother was Malinda Jane Goldsberry Lyon. He and his wife Emma Swing Harris were my great great great grandparents through their son George. Thanks for the suggestion.
Koolhof/Goldsberry Hello Shelly!! I have made the changes that you asked for on the different family members. I saw some of the comments that you left and I was very touched to see the love you have for your family. I was wondering if you would like to manage the memorials for your family members? I believe that these memorials should be with family and not strangers anyway. Please let me know if you would like to do that and I will gladly trasnfer them to you. Have a great night!! Cathy :)
