RE: Rice Cemetery
Hi Stephanie,

Or should I say Cuz! Cool, will have to email and see your line, visa versea. Are you on Ancestry?
Did you ever find the one you were looking for in Rice Cemetery? Email me at

I am on a grave hunting trip and just got back into Texas last night, will be in Tyler area most of the day and then making my way to Dallas area for a few days too, so response might be a little slow although I do get email on my phone.

Hi Stephanie, I just went to Find a Grave and added his name. Gertie was my Aunt. I don't know of a way to copy the page. Do you have the info on his children and their children? If i can help in any way, I'll be glad too. Lynda

RE: Rice Cemetery
Your welcome! When you talk with them I would also ask who is on both sides of her too....that might help also.

Rice Cemetery
Oh, did not know it was an unmarked grave. Have you contacted the City Hall and talk with who ever is over the Cemetery, they should know. At least that would be my next step.

Her Texas Death Certificate states she is died in Waxahachie but is buried in Rice.

Rice Cemetery is not a complete listing so she might just have not been added until you did so. I added my relatives and other names like Bell that are in my tree just in case I could find a connection.

I have also noticed someone is starting to get a complete listing but just doing sections at a time.

I think I remember where the Moore's are buried too so will look in that area first. But really over all Rice is a small cemetery so would not take that long to walk if needed to.

So you are doing fine, you have her in the right place. :)

By the way I will try to get a photo for you as I will be going to Rice and others in that area in September. Funny enough I have relatives in Rice Cemetery too!
