I stumbled upon Find A Grave while doing a simple Google search on my parents. I was surprised to find that the information on their grave was already added.
I have been maintaining a database of deceased Veterans in the Town of Hunter, New York for several years. The information was provided to me by John Leach of the Bunt-Brewer American Legion Post #165 in Tannersville, NY. John is no longer with us but members of the Legion Post (my brother Dana is Commander) continue to use the database to place flags on every Veteran's grave every May. I plan to add the information from my database to Find A Grave so there is an online directory of Veteran graves, complete with photos.
I've "adopted" the Haines Falls Cemetery and have taken photos of each headstone. As time permits, I'll add each grave and photo.
