I have been researching my BLANTON ancestors for more than 7 years. We originated in England, then to Virginia, then to NC, SC, GA, AL, TN and all points west. Am interested in contacting ANYONE who has ANY connection to ANY Blanton.
I'm the daughter of Wade Leo Blanton and Vera D. Harrington, born in San Diego where my sister and I lived until our late 20's. I've became interested in genealogy when I was able to locate one of our half sisters. After being reunited with her and sharing our love, my quest was to find our other sister. It's been a wonderful story finding both sisters and my ex-husbands son that was adopted over 40 years ago.
I live in Summerville, SC where my husband and I are blessed to have our two adult children, along with their children living close by. I'm researching… Blanton, Munkers, Harrington and Luedke. If you have any information that may help me with my research, please feel free to contact me. Also, when reviewing any of my work, if you see that I have made any error, no matter how large or small, please do not hesitate to contact me & let me know.

 | RE: Harrington and Maltby's There were a ton of Harringtons and Gibbons all together near the large Maltby stone. I'm headed back to Greenwood on Monday -- I'll inquire about any other Maltbys. Plus I still need to go through the photos I took of the Harringtons. I checked a few and you already had memorials with pictures, but I haven't had a chance to check all of them. I'll do that by Monday and get back to you.
I really enjoy exploring cemeteries -- seeing the old names, imagining what life was like during the 1800s and early 1900s... then imagining how the deceased would react if they could hear about airplanes, the Internet, etc. And after researching my family tree, I know how special it is to help others learn more an fill in pieces of their family tree. I am happy to help =)Added by Shayna on Mar 01, 2013 7:12 PM | | | Deborah McCombs Moore

 | Maltby Hi Nita, I am about to fulfill your photo request on David Guy Maltby. His plot location is right where you've already gotten a bunch of Harrington photos -- he just doesn't have a flat marker on his exact plot. There is a giant standing headstone that reads "MALTBY" though. Also, the office records have David listed as just "Guy Maltby."
I photographed all the Harringtons that were in Maltby's section -- I'll match them up with your existing Harringtons and see if I happened to catch any new ones.

 | RE: Marjorie Harrington, Lindberg's No problem! I live only a few miles from Fort Snelling so it was easy! A lot of snow though! | | | | [View all messages...] |
