Interested in family history the good and the bad. |
Alot of my ancestors and KIN are in Weston West Virginia and some are in New York or more to the point Long Island New York.
I hope to record all this and pass it down to the next generation of my family. Sadly I cant find anything past my dads parents. The only thing I know is they came from Canton China. Plus two of my family memebers are dead and now the door even closes more of where my chinese ancestors come from. Out of 7 now only 4 remain to tell our chinese story.
Hi if you any of you want to use any of the pictures I have taken please take but also tell people where you got them from thats all thanks
Oh I am also interested in findagrave so people know where people are buried I find it sad there are markers that are no longer readable and they are strangers in the cemetery.

Unfortunately, Findagrave.com has taken over Annette Funicello's memorial.
I have no control over her memorial. Sorry.

I visited the Darnstown cemetery today and took a lot of pictures (19). Some are of unmarked stones, but I have a buch of other Connellys. There are still more of those, but my camera batteries died. I do not know what they mean by "unmarked grave". If it is unmarked, we can't find him.

i am going today to look for it, if it is a flat stone i may not be able to find it because we have snow on the ground. But i know the section they are buried in well.
I found it yesterday and submitted it. They had posted it a few hours later. That surprised me.
I was out there looking for graves for a friend who is writing a book about the cemetery. He had "Mac Daddy" on the list but no grave location. I did an Internet search before I left the house and it didn't even say he was buried at Westview so I had my doubts. There were no pictures of it anywhere.
When I did happen to see the grave, I was really surprised. It is a beautiful one, the black marble is nice. But I didn't realize that my reflection is in it, if you look closely. I guess the admins were okay with that!
Did you notice the small pumpkin with "RIP" in front of the grave?

It's at Westview Cemetery. I was actually looking for someone entirely different when i stumbled across it.

No sorry, I'm not related. I just photographed the cemetery.

My relations are the other side - the Burden/Bordens. They married into my Robbins line. The names you mentioned are not ones I'm familiar with.

No - I am no relation to any in that family. I probably got the information that is not on the headstone from either FamilySearch or from the Marshall County marriage indexes available at http://archive.org/search.php?query=marshall%20county%20marriage%20AND%20mediatype%3Atexts
