Hello, I've been interested in genealogy since 1994, have enjoyed my searches. I also enjoy making quilts. I'm a mother of 2, one girl and one boy. granny of 5.

I'm some what interested in photo volunteering. Not sure what to expect. I spend part summers in Washington state, and I will also be spendinging some of my winters in Hawaii with son. I actually live in Reno NV at time. Don't do a lot of drivig, so if daughter can take me around I will try the photo volunteer. If I find I can't keep up I will yell help, over load.

I'm new here and right now not sure how to start.

Cheryl

Re questions with Emilie Lane request
Cheryl,
Find a Grave is a free volunteer site. Members can both contribute and make requests. I live within walking distance of Falls Cemetery and it is spring here so don't worry about gas etc.

If you want photos, I find it easiest if each person is requested individually when I go out looking. If one request lists several people they might not all get taken and the volunteer only gets credit for fulfilling one request instead of several. Create your own memorials then request a photo for each should your family member not have a memorial in their cemetery on Find a Grave.

Explore the Find a Grave site - especially the help section for lots more information. If you claim a request, you have two weeks to fulfill it before it expires. No need to feel overloaded, you can also cancel any you claim any time. There is also a limit of twenty claims at a time so that helps keep things simple as well.

Good luck with Find a Grave, I have enjoyed contributing to it, hope you do to.
Ann
