Ellis Cemeteries
All 3 of the Ellis Cemeteries are in Marion County, Tennessee. They are located on Kelly's Ferry Road in Marion Co., Tennessee, on the banks of the Tennessee River. One of the Ellis Cemeteries is now obliterated except for a few mountain stones. Houts Cemetery or Ellis Cemetery are one and the same.

RE: Mrs. Granville Brown
Thanks so much for the try! It is possible the person who had a new stone placed for the 2nd wife may have removed the older marker. Is there a book that has been published on the tombstone inscriptions for that cemetery? If so, it might help clear up this matter.

Thanks again for your help!
