RE: Emma Jane Gilmore Roy's obit says he worked in Hallsville and Kansas City,Mo., before he moved to Monroe County, Mo., in 1963, after his wife died in 1959. I have searched the death certificate site, using different spellings, just in case it was misspelled on the death certificate, but no luck. Roy had a daughter, Imogene Dawson. Link to her memorial on his Findagrave page. I have been searching newspapers, with no luck there, either. Thank you
RE: Emma Jane Gilmore Thank You so much, that would be great!!! Roy Chapple was a beloved neighbor of ours, but we never knew anything about his wife. She had died before he moved near us. Thanks again!! Patty
RE: Emma Jane Gilmore May I ask you one question. Our family knew Roy Chapple, James and Mary (Gilmore) Chapple's son, and I have been looking for the burial place for Roy's wife, Nora Alice (Morris), who Roy's obit says died in 1959. I know it is a long shot, but do you have any idea where Nora could be buried?
She wasn't in Bethel at Holliday, when we photographed the stones there, and I searched for her death certificate, but no luck.
Zachary Vance I'm sorry for the misinformation. That's the problem with family or others suggesting edits. Contributors don't really have proof that the person's edits/suggestions are correct. By the way, all caps in your note indicates yelling. Please don't yell.
RE: Robert/Catherine Vance Hi Kathy, I know exactly who you are talking about. Goes to show who goes to cemeteries and who don't. My cousin Milton Long and some family members (Whom have passed on) owned the property where the Vance-Morral-Harper Cemetery is on. Yes, it is on Smith Mountain out of Onego. Was there about 45 years ago. My lists are from the ol' days - and a lot of kin folks can't be found now so they're not listed in the present day books. This cemetery was read in 2014 (the latest that I know of) and Robert and Catherine are still there along with the rest that is listed in this cemetery. Do you have a email address? Mowery
RE: Stenstrom Kathy, Your welcome for the photos. I took two pictures of the grave. One picture only has the grave site on it. I always try to get the back to show what location it is just in case there is a mismatch in the index. The front has his name and rank and other info. If you go to the memorial and click on the photos tab it should be there. Again, your very welcome.
