Mary Rinehart Kinser I would love to help you on the family. I am kin on the Rinehart side, Mary's brother John H Rinehart was my great-great-grandfather. I don't know much about the Greene Co side of the family, perhaps you know more than I do. I traced John H & talked to a great-granddaut of his who told me her grandmother who was his oldest daughter gave the children lots of stories about their growing up years, but all those years they were traveling around the southern states, not in Greene Co. She said the reason John H left Greene Co was because he killed a man & had to flee. I'm not sure if this is true, she was old & went into a nursing home the next year, & John H had a son who killed his father-in-law & spent some time in jail until the jailor's wife helped him to excape, he fled to OK according to his descendants & then came back & was given a pardon & went to KY where he remarried & worked as a miner until he died. She may have mixed up the 2 men.
When I asked my grandfather about his father & grandfather, he knew something he didn't want to tell me, and he never did, I'll always wonder what it was & if it was this story.
I noticed Mary doesn't have a findagrave listing, does she have a marker? Is she buried beside her husband? I notice his marker is 20th century, not 19th. It looks new. If she's buried beside him, someone should put up a memorial to her. I wish I knew exactly where her father Jacob is buried. And where he came from.
I wish I knew exactly where Mary's father lived, Jacob was on the Greene Census's most years and I found other records of his being there, but I don't know the exact location. Do you live near there? Did Mary stay on the land where her father lived after she married? In the 1860's, John H returned home & signed a document about property involving his widowed mother who was there, do you know what that was about? Mary Rinehart was living with her daughter.
I have always wanted to find someone who is from other branches of the family so we can compare notes. One cousin in CA is working on finding out who our original Germanic ancestor who came to America was, he has a family story saying he came from near Berlin, he's there now on vacation looking. But I was told a different name. Another is working on the John H line from one of the other children.
I hope we can compare notes. It's good to see some one else is looking. I wish my family had made sure the generations knew who our ancestors were & where we came from.
Greenelawn Cemetery, Greeneville IL For requests at this cemetery, please call the cemetery office for location of grave. There are over 5000 graves there and they are almost all ground level markers, just a dozen maybe that aren't. TnBreeze who is maintaining this memorial you requested doesn't seem to be doing editing, so you may send the info to me and I will have the location added. I can get it done quicker than you sending it to administration.

William Hamlin Hi Gary, me again:) You had written that "William Hamlin was the paternal grandfather of the wife of my half 2nd great grand uncle"
I am curious as to who the "wife" of the half 2nd great grand uncle" was? Could you please email me at Neonan@aol.com and fill me in a little on this relationship? I would be glad to share with you if I would happen to have anything about this "wife" if I have it.
