|I began searching for my ancestors over thirty years ago, had some success, but then went off to college which ended the search. A few years ago, a sister and nephew became interested in taking up the family tree. It was then I decided that maybe I could assist them somehow. That's when I found Find-A-Grave. My sister works through Ancestry.Com, so between the two of us we hope to further our search.|
The names we are currently searching for on our father's side are Evans, Miller, Mahoney, and Cordner and any more names that connect. All in PA, NJ, and NY. On our mother's side, Bowman(Bumann-Germany), Nunnally(VA,KY,MO,NE) Olds, Johnson(Sweden), Cutbirth, Anderson(Jamtland,Sweden), Brown(TN), Gray and or Veale/Veal (VA), Wilcoxson(PA), Boone(PA,England), Pedigo(VA), and Cochran(VA).
My current home is in the Mt. Angel-Silverton area of Marion County, Oregon. Being a member of Find-A-Grave and a volunteer photographer has been a very interesting learning experience. For me, photographing headstones and adding them to people's memorial pages is fulfilling corporal and spiritual works of mercy.

|Russette||David and Charlotte Evans|
I am the granddaughter of Rosella Evans Whipple. David and Charlotte were my great grandparents, too. I was so excited to see the pictures of them! What a treasure!
We had the Evans Family Bible for many years, but sadly it was lost in a fire in 1967. I was only 6 at the time. The lost information breaks my heart.
I have so many questions about the family. I would love to hear from you. We are cousins, after all!
I hesitate to leave contact information on a public forum. Is there a way you can contact me privately? (I am on Facebook. Maybe a friend request?)
Looking forward to hearing from you!

|Melvina Arnett||Albert Cutbirth|
I am interested in your listing of Albert Cutbirth. I am a Cutbirth descendant also, and have done a lot of research on the name. I do not find Albert listed as a child of Elias & Rhoda Elizabeth Cutbirth in any of the early censuses. Could this perhaps be a middle name? I have eleven children listed for Elias & Rhoda, but no Albert. I would love to hear from you. Melvina Arnett
|Douglas Kirk Sorensen||Your Dorothy Toelle suggestion|
I want to thank you for your efforts and any confusion it caused. My memorial was entered a few days earlier, but I deleted it since the other one had a headstone photo and obviously the correct cemetery. By the way, there was a third memorial for the same person with yet a third cemetery - listing her year of birth as her date of death. I sent a suggestion requesting that it be removed for obvious reasons. The same other two findagrave members also had her spouse entered. I made the appropriate suggestion there.
Thanks again for the heads-up - Sincerely Doug Sorensen

|Kimberly Davis (Maule)||If you return to Pioneer|
If you return to Pioneer Cemetery in Oregon, there is a couple gravesites I am wondering about.
The first is be for Marion Edward Blanton (1876-1969). His wife is Deborah Dica Daws (1884-1931.
The other one that may be there is for Grace Basnett (1918-1947). I have been told she is there and her husband Eurshal Lamar Blanton (1912-1960) was buried under her, but that there was not record of him being placed there. Not sure though. These are my grandparents. He was also married to 1)Lillian M Johnson and 3)Valerie Ellen McLaren.
Thank you in advance.
|Kimberly Davis (Maule)||Thank you!!|

|drlee||Hazel D. Leabo Headstone|
Dear R. L. Evans,
Thank you so very much for taking the photo of Aunt Hazel's headstone. Could you attach the photo to her husband memorial as well: John Hurvey Brown? Also, may I use the photo in my family tree?

Thank you very much for taking the time to photograph her marker. She was a lovely person, inside and out and is sorely missed by all who knew her.
