RE: Arthur Schellenger
I totally agree that family should maintain the memorials of their loved ones.....that is why I asked what the relationship was. There really was no need for the terse response you gave me when I asked. A "thank you for finding my family member" would have been more appropriate. Mike is also the one who has been corresponding with me regarding this memorial and he did it all without the attitude. By the way you still didn't state what the relationship was, just that you are related through his grandmother.

If you read the FAQs it states unless it falls within Find A Grave rules "a direct relative within four generations (siblings, parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents" I am not required to transfer. It also states "the goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."

I have been a member of this site for over two years and have never turned anyone down for a transfer request, but I have also never gotten the attitude that you gave me either.

Phyllis,

You asked for a transfer of this memorial because you had information to add and you wanted to link him to his parents and siblings. He is already linked to his parents and his siblings must be linked through the parents, not each other. Where you didn't mention your relationship to Arthur, I would prefer to maintain management as I am currently working with another member on this family line. I would be more than happy to add whatever additional information you have if you would like to send it.

Phyllis,

Regarding the photo on Jessie Fish . . . This is not my photo. You will have to contact the person that posted the photo.

RE: Memorial Transfer
Hi Phyllis,
Done. And, yes, you may use the photo. But if Mrs. Haigh is a relative of yours, I hope you will see about getting the marker reset. If you do that, and provide the plot location, I'd be happy to go out and take another (better) photo. If this snow ever melts. :)
