Thomas Cheatham
Thomas is my 9th great grandfather. I went to Smith cemetery today, but it is too grown-up to find a marker. How do you know that Thomas is in this cemetery? Have you seen a marker?

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

RE: Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, NE
Stan, Thank you for taking care of the Winingham's in the Hillcrest Cemetery. I see that all of the brother's and one sister are listed so that they might be linked together. I have gone back in and edited Edith Gertrude Winingham's find a grave page to include her parents. She will complete the family as far as being able to connect them. I think it is so helpful to be able to click on their names and let it take you to the rest of the family. Makes searching for people a lot easier. Wanted to make it as simple as possible for anyone researching my family. Tell Donald hello for me the next time you see him. Again, thank you for placing them on find a grave.

Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur, NE
I had left some edits for some of the Winingham family who are buried at the Hillcrest Cemetery. I failed to tell you my reason for knowing the information. Shelby, Sr. and Virgil Wray Winingham are my mother's brothers. Dorothy and Cecile Almeda are their wives and are also sisters, being the daughters of James and Gertrude Blanks. Thank you for putting their info on find a grave.

Hi Stan
Wanted to give you my email address. I am at
I live in Arizona abt 9 months a year and spend the rest of the time in the Black Hills. I have some more pics I need to get posted that I got from a Great Aunt this past summer. I am sure you must have a lot of stories abt Art as I do! He was quite the character. I know we still must still have relatives in Sweden abt an hour and a half south of Stockholm.

Hi Stan
Yep, I am the great Grandson of Axel Stover who first married Ida May Stover. My father was Robert (Bob Johnson) and my Grandfather Mike Johnson from Hill City, SD. I knew a few of the Johnsons esp. Art outside of Keystone. I have been trying to track down the family we have in Minnesota and Canada. I had work on the Genealogy many years ago and wrote many times to the Archives there. What part of the country are you in?

Keep in touch cousin, Chad
