My main interest in Find A Grave is family. I have added a few non-family memorials as I come across them and some who are married-ins have been transferred to me; if you are related to them and want a transfer let me know. Include the mem #, your relationship and your FAG #. I live in San Diego, CA.|
Use whatever photos I have as you wish as long as you are respectful of those who have gone before us.
My tree on Rootsweb is LRAYVICK and on Ancestry is LRAYVICK1 under username RAYVICK51.

I am trying to sort out the confusion and in the process Find A Grave will not let me alter the bio information on a memorial. I will try again later. There are three Oliver Lillard in the Grant county records. Two are buried in the Pence cemetery and one in

I was wondering if you had any information on him. He is linked to Nathan and Ann Terry as their son. But they have a daughter (who has them as her parents on her headstone) who was born 7 months before David. I know it is possible, but hard for me to believe that a child would be born 2 months early and survive without the advances in medicine and technology like we have today.
I looked for proof that he was their son and am so far unable to find anything. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! :)

Ok. The only records I found showed a B. I will take a look at the 1850 Census.
There is definitely an M for middle initial on 1850 Census. I looked at the actual document itself. The only explanation I have is that many people could not read or write in the older days. So when the person came around to do the Census they just wrote what they heard them say. Sometimes the information was not correct or it was misspelled. Or maybe the parents told them the wrong initial.
But either way there is an M middle initial on one document and a B middle initial on all the rest. More than likely, his middle initial is B and a mistake was made. But since nobody has ever gone back in time to 1850 to see what happened, I guess we may never know. :)

That may be him.

Yeah I got stuck on my great-grandfather. All of his children are now deceased. At the time, my grandmother was still living, but had Alzheimer's. I finally found him a few years ago with his mother and father. Discovered earlier this year that he had a brother. Funny thing was I had added his brother, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews on findagrave as part of cemetery listings. I never knew they were part of my family.

I will see what I can find out.

Not sure either. There may be another son with the first name beginning with H that isn't known. Not sure, and not very familiar with this family. Just trying to get my tree in order. Then I will have more information later. I haven't had time to start digging through my resources for information. But when I start looking I will pass along anything I find. :)

I am related through the Browns and Taylors. There actually is a line of Taylors in my tree that is closer than the line you work with, but I doubt they are related. I choose to remain private, because I do not want anyone making connections to my living family. And I doubt you would know me anyways. I do not live nearby any of these graves I have been looking at.
My family migrated from Pennsylvania, and North Carolina to Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. Happy to help with any suggestions. I like to provide proof that what I edit is accurate. I am thankful for all the connections I have made from this site, too. It is a great site.

Okay thanks. That sounds fine.
