Landers/Ellis family
Are you related to William Landers and Vernie Ellis Landers - and Dorothy Landers Breeden Herrington? (William and Vernie were my great-grandparents - Dorothy was my grandmother.) I am trying to find info regarding Vernie.

Hope to hear back from you.

"Winnie" Earla May Hecker
I am so excited (and sad) to have found her by the way, and will be going out sometime in the next couple of weeks to visit her.

"Winnie" Earla May Hecker
Earla was my mother's sister and my aunt. My mother was taken away from the family when they lived here, and put into Oregon foster families, so she grew up here in the Willamette Valley away from the native american family, only meeting her parents again when she turned 18.

My siblings and I only got registered with the tribe a few years ago, and am now trying to find/learn about our family.

I would love to get in touch with anyone willing to help me out on this quest!

Thank you,

I was at the library today and thought I would look up some of your Heckers while I was there. Copied a few obits I can send you, but don't think this is the place to post them, If you would like, please email me and I will type them out and send them in an email to you. My email address is on my contributor page.

Wilma Landers
Wilma's ashes are in the Niche Room, which is to the left as you enter the front door, and she on the north wall, third down from the top, second from the left. Hope this helps.

RE: Earla May, or
Yes, she is among friends. I can't help but go see her once in awhile. Just knowing that little girl had no flowers or family to go see her in a long long time and no one knew where she was broke my heart. I think of her often and even have her birthday on my calendar to make it a point to go see her on her special day. Don't worry she will never be alone as long as I am here. Debi

RE: Bertha Wilkinson and Robert Wilkinson
Always happy to get the memorials into the hands and care of someone close to the folks we've entered (friends and old neighbors included).

Thanks for the lovely thank you! My daughter Liz is the photographer and I just do the rest! I had her read the thank you note from you. She needs that from time to time. Don't we all?

The best (proper) way to ask for help of any kind is the go to the memorial page & hit EDIT in the top right of that page. It'll give me the info and your #.
