Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm a professional genealogist who works with private clients, and also teaches genealogy classes to the general public.

My primary research interests include the following surnames in my family:

► Lange
► Maudlin
► Wehrmeister
► Havens
► Brosch
► York
► Ehl
► Sample
► Lapinski

as well as the following surnames in my husband's family:

► Willson
► Gausden
► Thompson
► Paszkowski
► Schell
► Goodrich
► Shaw
► Calkins

I enjoy creating and managing many pages on my family and my husband's family, and I also enjoy taking photos of headstones I come across, and creating FindaGrave entries for those folks if they don't already have one. I especially enjoy searching for additional information to add to entries, such as copies of death certificates, obituaries, photos of the person, etc.

I welcome any and all correspondence. :-)

The Folks
RE: Aunt Alice Maudlin
Hello Katherine' As per Find A Grave guidelines" Any non-direct relatives (aunts, uncles, cousins, etc) are not required to be transferred". Having that in the rules IMO, is crappy. I'm of the belief that family belongs with, FAMILY period. I will gladly transfer ownership of your Aunt, to your care. In addition if you like, I will also transfer ownership of Grant D. Maudlin. Please let me know.

Nyul and Dezomits

I see that Maudlin is a surname on your list but you also have Ethel (Nyul) Dezomits as well as Julius. I was wondering if you knew anything further back on either the Dezomits or Nyul side. I can't seem to find anything. I'm the great granddaughter.

Thank You!

Florence Sample
There are two antique photos on eBay with the name Florence Sample. You can see them by using her name as a search. I wonder if she is your Florence Sample?

Gustav Wehrmeister
I took photos of Justine & Gustav Wehrmeister's headstone at Woodmere this past Sunday. I see his memorial had no birthdate. The stone says 10/26/1842. Death date is 1/18/1901. Gustav and Justine share one headstone, each having a name on different sides. They're in Section 2 with a lot of similar stones. Cheers!

RE: Knofske families in Wayne County, MI
my name is Andrea (Knofske) Holton. My Grandfather is Joseph C. Knofske married Irene Frank. They had 2 children. Arnold Harvey Knofske and Ellenor Knofske (I am unsure of middle name for Ellenor). Ellenor (was the oldest) she married Alfred Rossi and they had 3 children: Cindy, Jerome, and Rick. Cindy Rossi married Wayne Jackson - no children. Jerome Rossi is divorced his ex wife's name was Brenda (not sure of her maiden name)- 2 children: Melissa and Mathew. Rick Rossi is married to Patricia (unsure of maiden name). He has a daughter from his first marriage Marie Rossi and a son from his present marriage. Allan Rossi (not sure if Allan is spelled right).

Arnold Knofske married Dawn Fraley (my parents). They had 2 children Carrie Annette Knofske who is married to Jason Wright - no children. Andrea Irene Knofske married to Vern Holton. We have 2 children: Kayleen Knofske and Alexis Holton.

My dad is not home at the moment but will be back by beginning of December and would know a lot more then I do. My Grandpa Knofske lived over on property where the Metro Airport now is and I had been told stories that when my Great Grandpa first came here they helped build a church in Taylor - St. Paul United Church of Christ (which is still there and a lot of family still attends). I know the other church a lot of the family attend is St. John in Taylor. St. Paul does have a lot of records and my dad has taken pictures of baptism records and things like that. I have a lot of pictures of my grandpa, we continued living with him until he died. If you ever wished to contact me to talk further I can be reached at 734-790-0627
