Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am passionate about Family, Graveyards and Find A Grave. I have been doing genealogy research for family and friends for over 30 years. I make memorials in the hope that people will find family connections both in the cemeteries and living and to honor the memory of those who have passed on.

If you have additional information or corrections, please contact me as I would like the memorials I create to be as complete as possible. As I have been receiving so many public messages, I would ask that all additional information, requests for links and transfers be sent to me through the edit tab on the memorial page. That makes it easier for me to accomplish the request and leaves my messages free for other comments.

Please don't leave information that could be added to the memorial on flowers you post. If you will contact me through the edit tab I will gladly add the information.

Also if you could provide the source of your information it will save me time in researching it.

I do not adhere strictly to the Find A Grave rules for transfers, but I don't transfer if my memorial has been duplicated. Kindly provide how you are related to the person whose memorial you are requesting.

There are so many dedicated contributors and people that are truly kind and generous on Find A Grave and they have my sincere thanks and admiration. Others, not so much.....

RE: Jewell Darnell Salem Cemetery
Salem Cem also called Mateer-Davis Cem. All the old folks gone that would know the true story but Mateer's have at least 2 doz family buried there and Davis's nearly that many. Mateer a wealthy and very well respected family of that commnity as well as the Davis's. From old records, the Mateer and/or Mateer-Davis was added to records in later years.

Similar situation with Farnsworth Cem, commonly called Mt. Zion because of the name of the adjoining church.

Both cemeteries are located in Wayne County, with Salem being one mile from the west county line and Farnsworth being about 3 miles from the west county line.

I have one elderly gentleman in mind to ask about the name and will let you know if I find out anything different.

Keep up the good work!

Tucker Family farm
I am purchasing a farm once owned by a "W" and john Tucker. Its about a mile west of Williams Hill or 4 miles west of herod in Pope Co. IL. It has a log house on the property. I would love to find the history of the people who built the cabin. Can you pont me in the right direction? Doug DeLong

Sharon - Thanks for the transfer though it wasn't really necessary. It's so hard to believe a high school had 814 students in the same class. There were only about 125 in mine. Thank you again! Ann

Rodewalds
I've transferred the Rodewald memorial sites to you. I am related to them, but only distantly. (Fritz Rodewald is the brother of my great-great-grandmother Sophia Rodewald Moecker.) I will be happily waiting to see the information you will be adding to their pages.
Thanks,
Sheryll
