Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in central Indiana. I love walking cemeteries and take many photos. I began going to find relatives for my genealogy research and found that I love the serenity and the tombstones. I have been interested in genealogy for over 20 years but have been seriously doing research for over 12 years. I am a Boone descendant but through the DNA project found that my line is not the same as Daniel, the American pioneer. My husband and I are retired which gives us time to travel to many places. We go by car so we can see our country USA and stop at cemeteries. Family names: Heilman/Hailman, Hackerd, Boone, Phillippe, Frazee, Walker, Yount, Norris and more.

I created memorials for L.E. Doan aka Leslie Elmer Doan and both Ruthie Doan and Mae Doan. Could you please add your photos to their memorials? Thank, once again, for everything you've done.

RE: Catherine & Lewis LOCKE
Thank you for the note. Geeze, that headstone looks pretty new. If it is, I wonder who planted it??? I can only HOPE that you are related to the family??? Please let me know. HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL...

My BIGGEST WISH is to find the headstone of Catherine's mother -- immigrant CATHERINE BUMGARDNER RAUDEBAUGH, my 2x ggma. At 98 years old, she died 14 Jan 1915 and is surely buried in the New Lancaster Cemetery (per newspaper obit notice, etc.) and probably near to her daughter whose headstone you shared, my 2x great Aunt Kate Locke -- or next to another daughter, Esther Raudebaugh DeLong, wife of David.

Awhile back, I worked via email with a "crazy guy" who had visited the TC Health Department and assured me that Catherine is buried at New Lancaster. (Most all of my paternal greats are there -- Heflin, DeLong, Brown, etc.). This man who was trying to help me said that all records had already been digitized, and the books themselves are not available. He asked the assistant for a print-out, and the fellow who helped him either didn't want to or didn't know how. The nice man who was helping me said that he would look over the rough transcription of the cemetery -- a pile of spiral note books but that his online cemetery postings didn't include Catherine because O'Banion didn't mention her in his 1928-28 listing -- nor did the D.A.R. find her in 1978. SO, WHERE IS SHE??? Being that she was the "oldest living person in TC at the time and had had several news articles written about her, she was rather a "big deal". So, I am POSITIVE that she is not buried "out back" by the hogs.

Your assistance is very appreciated.

Thank you.

RE: Vina Doan and others
If you want me to create memorials for Ruthie, Mae, and L.E. (Leslie E. Doan), I can do that tomorrow. I'm already at work and won't be back in town until then. If you would like to create the memorials yourself and then I'll send the links, that would be fine, too. It's whatever you'd like to do. As for Dr. Nathan and Elizabeth Doan, their stone is already posted on Findagrave. It's those 3 without memorials that I need. Thanks for all you've done and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

RE: Photos
I only have pictures of Dorothy and Thomas Heilman.
She is my aunt. When I was in the eighth grade my mother become ill and we lost our farm and in a sale to pay the bills. I was not aloud to take anything but my clothes, everything was sold.
Only as of late have I tried to put together a family history. Most of which was around the Frankfort, IN. area. I now live in Washington State and it is hard to get pictures from that area. My tree branchs are now roots and most of my search is under the ground.

Yount Photos
Yes I am very interested in any Yount Photos.
I have over 200 hundred in my tree.
I also have Heilmans, Hackards, a few Boones, and Walkers. Mostly from around Clinton Co., IN.
My wife and I were both born in Frankfort,IN. and after I got out of the service we followed her folks to Washington State.
