Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been doing family research for over 30 years. While I continue to do my research, I'm enjoying giving back to the genealogy community by taking cemetery photos.

I am willing to take digital photographs of grave markers in Contra Costa County. I do visit cemeteries in Santa Clara and San Francisco now and then as well.

A note of recognition to Betty Patterson for her steady updates to go with the Yountville Veterans Cemetery markers and having memorials that I can also add to.

My own family lines include:

BARBER - BRIGHTBILL - DANILSON - FIELDS - HERMANEK - INGHRAM - JACKSON - KENNEDY - MCCRACKEN -RING - SHUCK - WEBSTER - VESS

Aloysius and Helen Barbur Custer
Hello Linda...I see you are maintaining memorial # 22796169. My husband is a distant Custer relative of Aloysius and we have many original Custer family photos and the Swiss history of this family... I am searching a for a descendant of this marriage to pass it all on to. Please let me know if it is you am seeking.

Thanks, Alice

Find a Grave Photos
I am writing a two-volume book on the 8th Indiana. I would like to include photos of the soldiers and their headstones with their biographies. I would like to use some of your photos in the book and will give you credit in the caption for each photo. If you are interested, I can let you know when the book is published. If it is ok to use your photos, could you also give you your first and last name for the captions?

Napa Civil War Veterans
I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our "old soldiers' that had roots/ties to Vermont. i have noticed that you have contributed many grave marker photo's for several of these patriots. May I use these photo's to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)You will receive credit for this.
.Thank you for your consideration.

RE: Jean Fruge
Thanks, but not really. I have over 22000 names in my database that I use to reconcile with Ancestry, thus keeping up with all that is a task. My wife's mother was a Fruge, thus the reason for my meddling in that family line.

I routinely keep open pages for my file, Ancestry, and Findagrave and work between all 3 to update all them for new information, lots of time spent.

I appreciate all the efforts people put into updating findagrave and I try to find those ladies who are buried only under their married names and link them back to their parents when capable of doing so.

Thanks again, Ron

Silas Dean, Memorial #53045007
Linda:

I would like to request a transfer for Silas Dean's memorial. My great grandfather and his brother also served in the 103rd Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. I have spent the last 40 years studying the history of the 103rd and wrote my M.A. thesis in 1986 about it service in the field. I have researched every soldier who served in the 103rd as I feel that it is my responsibility to maintain the memorials of the 103rd's soldiers as a labor of love so that their memories and deeds will not be forgotten. I hope that you will understand.

Sincerely,
William C. Stark,

Andrew Luchsinger
Would you consider tranferring Andrew Luchsinger (born 1846) to me. He has no direct descendents but was my great-grandmother's brother. THANKS

Ingvor Hansenn
Hi Linda,

Your memorial for Ingvor Hansen is attached to the wrong cemetery. Ingvor Hansen is buried in the Mission City Memorial Park, Santa Clara, Santa Clara County, California. He is not buried in Fremont, California! You correctly attached the memorial for his wife to the correct cemetery.

When you visit the Santa Clara cemetery in findagrave you will find that another member of the findagrave community has created a memorial for Ingvor and linked it with the memorial for his wife. That memorial ID is # 68268386.

It would be nice if you would respond to me on this request.

SIDNEY KELLEY
Hi Linda, I was at the Veterans Home Cemetery in Yountville today and saw SIDNEY KELLEY's headstone. I believe there is an error on his first name, which is currently listed at "Stoney". This is his number: #50965335. Thank you!

Sincerely, Gail KM
