I have been doing genealogy for about 20+ years and have always loved walking through cemeteries reading the headstones. Recently, I've started working with graphics and websites. Taking photos for Find a Grave has been a natural extension of my hobbies.
I enjoy the time alone, the peacefulness of the cemeteries and taking photos for others. I'm always working the request lists for cemteries near my area. I take photos as I go along and add a photo or create a memorial for any photo I have.
I don't usually bother the cemetery office, as I do my work for Find a Grave on weekends. I work full time and do genealogy, graphics and web work as a hobby. Even in the large cemeteries I will just look for the stones so be patient. I will find the stone if it's there.
If you find a memorial that needs correcting or you would like a transfer, please use the Suggest a Correction feature on the memorial under the Edit Tab. I don't publish my e-mail address as I like it to stay as spam free as possible.

Thank you for the wonderful photo of Margaret Hess old cemetery stone. We appreciate you taking the time to fill our photo request. I think this has to be the oldest cemetery stone I have of a relative. Find A Grave is a great site but only because of people like you. Thank you so much.

Hi,
I deleted mine as soon as I received your message. I found a mention of William's death in a copy of the Baltimore Sun, 2 days after he passed away. I didn't include it because it just said "husband of...buried Rose Hill, Hagerstown. I'm sorry about that but glad it's straightened out with great pictures included, too! | Gerwig obiturary
Thank you for the two obituaries. I had some of the children but not all without married name. These will help finding info on the rest of the family. I added obits to Find A Grave and noted that they came from badrenn.
