I began this effort to find and record my ancestors final resting places. It has been a difficult job for me because when I started my search 15 years ago, the internet was nothing compared to what it as become today. |
I would like to thank Find A Grave for putting together this wonderful site and I would like to thank all of you who are participating in this search and tribute to our loved ones who are now gone.
You know, I heard it said once that, "We are all but travelers here on this earth between the two great eternities. We awaken at birth from one eternity and then we travel through this brief life until once again we enter the other great eternity"
My ancestor family has been lost to me for years because I am the youngest son of the youngest son etc. I am very grateful that I can now find and share with you my families nearly four hundred year journey through time in this United States of America.
God Bless all of you and I wish you all peace, love and happiness.

Michael, are you related to the Breazeale's of Diboll, Texas? Clifford,wife Bertha, Carol Jean and Bobby Ray. Several more from there also. My mother was a Weisinger (Helen) and Bertha Breazeale was her sister. God Bless Mary English Barton Crockett, Texas

Michael, Have you done DNA testing by chance? I have a male cousin (direct male surname) who wants to have testing done. If you have, do you recommend testing through Ancestry or another company? I saw on one site that we are likely Vicking. I'm sure you have seen this, but I greatly value your input. Thank you. As Always, Fran

Hello, Michael!! Glad to see you on Findagrave, too! Your work is great, as usual. Don't you just really enjoy this site? Thanks again for all you do and have done for us Breazeales.

Yes, the cemetery at the end of my road (hwy 63) is called "new Salem" cemetery. I am not sure the plot number helps at this point but I am trying to get more information and it may help later!
|David Brohard||RE: Issac Newton Breazeale|
yeah Im sorry about that. On the bright side Salem cemetery is about a quarter mile at the end of my road, I imagine I will be through there many more times.
The cemetery itself is in bad shape, many of the markers have been damaged or unreadable. I have contacted the city about it. There is also a project in the work to survey these and get the info online before it is permanently lost so dont remove the request! we will continue to search and do what we can!
|Claire||RE: Lucy Avery Breazeale|
Nope, my apologies. You are definitely correct. The photo request you made said that these graves would be found in the Jack Springs cemetery. The only problem with that is that we are not terribly familiar with the area, we live in Pensacola and will do photo requests at a 50 mile radius, and when we looked up the Jack Springs cemetery on the USGS it says that is also called McCollough cemetery. If there is in fact another cemetery near there that is called Jack Springs we'd be happy to try again for you because we are trying to map all these cemeteries and we've not plotted a point for that one if it's different from the McCollough cemetery.
While we were in the McCollough cemetery yesterday we did not find any Avery or Breazeale graves and we searched it really well so you can cross that one off your list if you are going to try to come that way to have a look. We kept thinking that there just had to be a mistake somewhere since we didn't find the ones you are searching for or any others with that surname. So sorry we weren't able to help you. Good luck on your search.
