My fascination with family history began when my grandmother, Dollie Bell BOWMAN MATHIAS, came to live with my mother, Betty, and me when I was 6. Grandma Dollie brought with her the Bowman family bible. In it was the piece of paper that would start my obsession with tracing my "roots." That piece of paper was the wedding certificate for my great great grandparents, George Alfred ILLIDGE and Elizabeth JAQUES ILLIDGE, dated 1836, St Mary's Parish, Newington, Surrey, England. Since then, my travels in search of answers to my questions about how my family finally ended up in California, have taken me from Hawaii, across the US to the East Coast and then beyond the Atlantic, to England. I'm hoping to make it to Australia for research, too. My primary family names are: MATHIAS, BOWMAN, ILLIDGE, JAQUES, VALENTINE, GREEN, WEBER, CONKLIN(G), MULFORD, GARDINER and their numerous branches. I'd love to hear from others researching the same. I'm willing to help others with their searches for family and can do local cemetery grave/marker photos. dena mathias calcuz@live.com | |

 | RE: Hintermanns 87837198 Hello,Dena... The memorial for Adolph Hintermann is someone else's memorial. I only took the photograph of the cemetery entrance. Go back to the memorial and you'll see the memorial was made by Graves #47171280. Please contact Graves by clicking on the name "GRAVES". Jim Good luck with your search. | | | Jeannie
 | Elizabeth Hello Friend, I am not related to Elizabeth that I know of. My GGG Grand Uncle John Ross married one of Simon Plamondon's daughters of the Cowlitz farms HBC. Best Regards: JeannieAdded by Jeannie on Jun 22, 2012 8:07 AM | | | Patty C

 | Rosa Doris Seibert Faust Hi Dena,
Rosa's husband Karl is also at Forest Lawn, I just found him and added him, it looks like he is in the same niche space with her. I don't know what his dates are because I haven't found him in the California death index.
I don't know where Ellen is buried, I am not finding her listed in Forest Lawn, at least not under the surname Fallon. | | | Betty Hunter- Harrison
 | Gobalet No relation, just putting headstone on memorials, so years to come we will still be able to see their headstone. | | | AM
 | RE: valentine family I'm certain I've found Joanna! I posted a photo for her and Delilah & Levi Valentine whose stones were all leaning up against W.M.V.'s stone. There was a fourth stone, but it was so worn dates were not legible and the name was missing (broken top). I hope this helps you!Added by AM on May 07, 2010 7:00 PM | | | P Fazzini

 | RE: valentine family As I recall there are some other older headstones that might be Valentines as well. I usually only photograph the ones where info is clear because it's difficult to match up individuals later if images are sketchy. But I made note of your relatives and will look for them next time I'm in that area.Added by AM on Apr 29, 2010 8:00 PM | | | P Fazzini
