I'm always glad to do family links or transfers if you go about it the right way. I've written about this in my bio and many other members feel the same as I do. Please please please always use the EDIT tab on each memorial for links, edits, updates or transfer requests. This ensures that any work is done to the correct memorial or transfers go to the right person. Using the message board or e-mail opens the door to mistakes and delays. The EDIT tab solves a lot of these problems. Many members will simply ignore any request not done using the EDIT tab. This is not just for me but for all requests. Thanks.

Glad to help. If you would for me to transfer any of your family member's memorials to you, I would be honored to do so. joylen

Your quite welcome Joyce. Glad that we got everything correct. That's what is important!
|Chris Easley||RE: Elizabeth Izora Pate|
As to her maiden name, that was derived from what's listed on the death certificate of her daughter Martha Leta Pate. Izora Pate signed the death cert and was the one who wrote her name on there as Izora Hunt. On Izora's death cert, no parents are listed so now help there. She did have a son named William Collier Pate. I have seen a Collier Pate listed with Izora and her husband Ben on a 1910 and 1920 census.
Every record I've pulled up on either FamilySearch or Ancestry has her listed as Izora Pate. That is also what is on her headstone. I put her first name as Elizabeth because 'Lizzie' is as most people know a common nickname for Elizabeth. So with that in mind I didn't see much issue with putting her first name as Elizabeth, although census records show that evidently she went by her middle name of Izora.
I have no issue with making the changes you have requested. I am not family so I have 'no dog in the hunt' so to speak. I do enjoy researching and being able add additional info to the memorials I create. As a rule I only add what comes from the headstone and what's on the death certificate. Now by no means am I suggesting that a death cert is the gospel truth, but usually it's a pretty reliable source unless family has information to the contrary.
I'm curious though as to why she would put 'Hunt' as her maiden name if in fact is was actually Hines. I would be happy to e-mail you a copy of that death cert if you like. Or alternatively you can create a free account on FamilySearch.org and view it yourself if you wish.
What's also strange is that you show William Collier Pate as her son, which matches with census records, but the discrepancy on the maiden name is a bit odd, especially considering what she put on the death cert of her daughter.
Anyway, let me know what you think about this interesting little conundrum. As I said I'm not opposed to changing the info, but curious as to the discrepancy on the maiden name.
