John N. Shaw Family
John and Nancy are on the old stone, as well has having their own.
Nancy also has a modern one; right next to daughter Nellie A.
John N. has a military stone, for his own.

I took a photo of NELLIE's grave. I'll send it to you in a separate, non-public messsage...
There's a slight "problem": You give her (Nellie's) married name as "Brush"; the gravestone says "Peterson".
Did she remarry? There's no indication, on the stone, of ever having been a "Brush".
Also, her birth year on the stone, and yours--when you say she was born--are a few years "off".

There is a modern, white stone right in the middle of the SHAW Plot, with the name of DANLEY; do you happen to know who that is? Their names are Arthur J (1905-1970) and Lillian T.(1906-1986). In looking at the family names you have listed on John N.'s memorial, the only thing I/we can think of, is that she might be a daughter of Alden (whom we could not find)?

Nancy Jones
Hi, I'm the great grandaughter of Hiram A. Cusick. The page you have made up is wonderful. My direct Cusick link is Arthur Ralph Cusick who married my Grandmother Philomena Feeney. He disappeared somewhere around 1925 when my mother was just a baby but it's been great finding all the other Cusicks.

Shaw and Johnson Families

I don't have much on those families. What little I have is from Jim Brush's family history papers on the Brush family. I listed the sources on Nellie Abbie (Shaw) Brush's memorial page.

The main source is in the Commemorative Biographical Record of Upper Wisconsin -- Waupaca,..., 1895, 1110 pages, pp. 820-821. Just go to and type in the main part of the title and you can read the above pages. You can also download this volume in b/w pdf.

I also have a photocopy of a newspaper article from Jim Brush's papers titled "Nathan Johnson, Early Resident, Dies at Age 88". This is the son (1850-1939) of Nathan and Mary (Webster) Johnson. Do you have it? If you don't, I will try and email it to you.

Can you link Nathan Johnson #38010684 and Mary G. Johnson #38010695 as the parents of Nancy Melissa (Johnson) Shaw #51648650? Thank you.

George and Jane Shaw
Hi Jim,

I have added the shared headstone for George and Jane Shaw in the Prosser Cemetery. Lot me know if you would like them transferred to you.

I am also willing to keep them and add any more family information down the line. Either way is fine with me.

Yes, I plan to finish photo graving all the headstones in Prosser Cemetery as soon as the weather is good enough.
