RE: Elizabeth Caroline Mathes
Thanks Jean,
As far as Thomas Turner goes that is what happened on of his grandsons is still alive in WA, Luther J. Turner,b1928? i believe, and this is what I get from them also, They are not even sure when he died, somewhere between 1904-1906. Was just hoping with you being connected a little closer to the family that you might have heard something else. Have a great day.

Elizabeth Caroline Mathes
Is this person related to you? She is my husbands Gt Grandmother, and we are trying to find out if anyone out there knows about her husband Thomas Turner or about his family. He left the family in 1904 right after last son Willis Henry was born. Can you help to shed any light on this for us, or can someone else in your family help.

Hello
My name is Kerry Darnall, and I live in Benton, Ky. Alexander and Elizabeth Goodwin Byars was my great great grandparents. I have been to this very small cemetery once in Calloway County Kentucky, after being notified by a cousin that he had found this grave by coincidence. There are 3 stones there, and one of them must be my great great grandmother. Thank you for placing this cemetery on this web site. Athough on a tree it has another name for the cemetery... Alexander Byars father was Andrew Byars and last information we acquired was he and Alexander's mother lived in Maury County Tennessee but have no idea where they are laid to rest... Thanks again... my email address is kerry_d55@yahoo.com

RE: Eddins
Hi Jean,
It's been a busy month. That's why I haven't contacted you in a while. I contacted White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Mich and they don't have a Mary Opal Eddins buried there. If there's another cemetery you think she may be at or what City she passed away in I'll check for you. Please let me know what info you have on her. Happy New Year

RE: Eddins
I believe Mary Opal Eddins is buried at White Chapel Cemetery. Next time my wife and I go down there to find other family members, we'll look for it and take a picture of the head stone and then I'll message you. Mary Opal Eddins is her Great Grand Aunt. Merry Christmas

RE: Eliza Mardis NcDaniel
Jean, I don't know that she died in Stoddard County, but since Ulysses remarried there, I assumed she did. But if so, I can't find her. I have figured out their approximate location in 1880 & there are two old cemeteries nearby. I have ancestors buried in both & know that some older stones are missing in one & the other was allowed to be overgrown for years. But my relatives are clearing up that one. I intend to look there, but I doubt we'll ever know for sure. I was hoping you had something more to go on. Thanks for writing back. I appreciate any help.
Eliza's parents were James Mardis (sometimes spelled Martice & sometimes Mordis on census) & Mary Polly Lee.
I live near Batesville, AR, so if you need pics from local cemeteries or anything, please let me know. I am originally from Stoddard County & I have the County Cem. book from a few years ago. Will look for names in it, also. Thanks again.
Linda

Ms Sluder:
Can you please tell me what information you have on Eliza McDaniel? How did you determine that she is buried at Joliff Cemetery?
I have been researching this family for years, have even been to Joliff & made a picture of Ulysses's grave, but have never found anything indicating where Eliza was buried. I had assumed she was buried in Stoddard County, where they were living in 1880. Ulysses remarried there in 1883, the marriage didn't work out so he went to Oregon County & married again 1884.
Also, can you tell me if you found documents listing her name as Mary? I know some family members had her listed as Mary Eliza Moser, but I found no documents listing her name as Mary; only Eliza or Eliza J.
I would like to have it listed correctly. She was my husband's great-great-grandmother.
Thank you.
