RE: Eliza Mardis McDaniel
Thank you. Yes, I have wooled this around for 20 years now! LOL Ulysses remarried there in Stoddard County, but they didn't get along or something. Next, he married that woman in Oregon County. Makes you wonder if they bothered getting a divorce or annulment back then! I've never thought to look for that.
From names of neighbors in 1880, which I recognize as being neighbors of my great-aunt later on, I'm thinking they lived southwest of Dexter, Missouri, right along Crowley's Ridge, which is the New Madrid fault. Several cemeteries along there, because of the hills. Eliza isn't in the Cem. book, so if she had a marker, it's probably worn away til it's unreadable. They have sons buried in Bernie & Dexter, which are in Stoddard, as well as one son who stayed in KY, & some who went to OK.
It's nice to "meet" you.

RE: John D. Sluder
The son of Henry and Catherine died in 1855. My ggggranddad died in 1896. Just would love to know where he came from. I still have a sneaking suspicion he is the son of Francis, just can't prove it.

RE: John D. Sluder
Thank you so much. I always felt he was Francis's son, I found a census that said he was the oldest child of Francis, but can not find it again. It was a Rowan county census, but seems to have disappeared. Wish I had copied it.

Deann Turner
RE: Elizabeth Caroline Mathes
Thanks Jean,
As far as Thomas Turner goes that is what happened on of his grandsons is still alive in WA, Luther J. Turner,b1928? i believe, and this is what I get from them also, They are not even sure when he died, somewhere between 1904-1906. Was just hoping with you being connected a little closer to the family that you might have heard something else. Have a great day.

Is this person related to you? She is my husbands Gt Grandmother, and we are trying to find out if anyone out there knows about her husband Thomas Turner or about his family. He left the family in 1904 right after last son Willis Henry was born. Can you help to shed any light on this for us, or can someone else in your family help.
