Bio and Links
I became interested in genealogy after my Father passed away. I felt a need to "find my roots". Find a Grave has been so helpful to me in my search. Obituaries hold a wealth of information, and often allow me to find a "link" to reconnect parents and families.

If you are related and I have a memorial for one of your loved ones, please contact me by clicking on the edit tab on the upper right hand corner of the memorial and then clicking the suggest a correction link to ask for a transfer. Connecting families, both past and present, is what it is all about!!

Dear Jane,

36 years ago my life partner passed away, 35 years ago I was blessed with our baby girl. She's never met her paternal Grandparents or has seen a picture of her father. I am thankful that I have found this so I can share with her some information. Thank you so much

God Bless

William McKinley Vinning's Headstone
Dear Jane,

Just a word of gratitude for the photo of a CLEAN headstone on Bill. Don't know if you did the cleaning or if it was someone else, but it sure is nice to see and to be able to read it. Thank you!

David Thorpe
Just left a suggestion on this memorial. David Thorpe Jr. (1834-1907) was my third great-grandfather, great grandfather of my grandmother, Mildred M. Woodward. I live not far from Washingtonville which is where David and Olive lived until they moved to Muncie. I suggested Rev. because David Thorpe was ordanied as a Methodist minister in 1887. Jr. because his parents are David Thorp (1795-1856) and Rebecca Smith, David Sr.'s second wife (1812-1863). If you would like any more information I might have on David and Olive please feel free to email me at If you email me I can give you my home address if you wish to write to me.

Hope this is of use to you,
Tommy Woodward

E. Elizabeth Bostic Couch.

Hello Jane. Would you be willing to create a separate memorial page for Elizabeth's husband Cashius C. Couch? I could go ahead but thought maybe he was your kin and just got missed. I have a bit of info to edit if you do create it. Or, if you want me to, I would just need permission on the photo. Let me know!

Thanks for your work at Find A Grave!
