 | Henry Gernhart Hi, I found a tombstone for Henry Gernhart in the Emanuel Evangelical Cemetery, Cass Co.,NE with a death date but the age at death buried in the ground. If this is the Henry Gernhart I am searching for, he was born 16 Aug 1822 in Niederellenbach, Hessen, Germany, the son of Israel Gernhardt and Anna Catharina Hilgenberg. His family emigrated in 1832 to the US and settled first in Clarion Co., PA and then in Washngton Co., OH and Washington Co., IN before traveling farther west and finally settling in Nebraska. He married Anna Elisabeth, but I don't know her maiden name and they had several children; Martin, named after Henry's brother, b. c. 1856; Augustus, b. c. 1858; and Henry, b. c. Nov 1859, all in Washington Co., OH. Other children were born in Indiana. If anyone is also researching this family, I would appreciate his/her contacting me at nmwelsh@comcast.net. I have traced this family in Germany and have those records, but I am lacking more current US info. Nancy Welsh | | | Nancy Welsh
 | Henry Gernhart Hi again, I pressed the button before I finished my message on Henry Gernhart. He had a brother Martin who lived in Kansas and two sisters who married and lived in Clarion Co., PA. If this rings a bell with anyone, I would appreciate your contacting me at nmwelsh@comcast.net. Nancy Welsh | | | arcticamy
 | Fannie Quigley there is talk about town that Fannie Quigley will be getting a new grave memorial, kind of like a kiosk in honor of her historical contribution to Alaska. I wonder if it will be this summer? If so, I will be sure and get new photos. | | | Barbara Wolf
 | Trulock's at Greenlawn Memorial While I was walking around Greenlawn today, I ran across some Trulock's without a memorial. I don't know if you would be interested in these but I did add memorials for them. They include Allen C., Carrie M. and Billy A. Trulock. Have a great weekend. Barb | | | The Irish Lady
 | Park Hill Cem - Anna Laura Bond Thanks so much for getting this headstone on Find A Grave. It sure helps to see the stones to verify family info. Anna Laura (Bemberger) Bond is my mom's family. I wondered if you would allow me to use the headstone pics in the family research (with credit, of course)? Gail | | | Norma S Rice
 | Leah Williams It looks like you have located a relative from Pennsylvania here in Nebraska....thanks for all the effort you have made in getting these names out to the public. It makes little stepping stones across the river of life. Sharlene | | | Karla Archer

 | RE: Alva & Caroline Cornell I've transferred little Flo to your management; she deserves to stick with the family, don't you think? So tickled! So tickled! I love it when a little extra eye pays off with such a huge jackpot like finally finding all in a family. Enjoy, Enjoy! | | | Dominique Potier

 | henry gernhart I have found Henry Gernhart, an ancestor that I have been looking for for a long time, buried at Emanuel Evangelical Cemetery in Cass Co, NE. At least I think it is he but cannot be sure because the age at death is covered by earth. Is there some way that I can get his age at death--perhaps there are cemetery records? He died in 1876. His son appears in Nebraska in Cass Co. at this time and in 1877 but disappears after that. Perhaps Henry died there as they were passing through to Kansas. I would appreciate any help or suggestions that you could give me. Nancy Welsh nmwelsh@comcast.net | | | | [View all messages...] |
