American ancestry traced back to Spotsylvania, Rappahannock, and Augusta counties of Virginia in the early 1700s. Ancestors fought with the American rebel patriots of the Revolutionary war, one great great great grandfather fought at the Battle of New Orleans, and great grandfathers of both my parents' families fought for Virginia in the Confederacy -> 50th Va Inf., 8th Va Cav., 5th Va Inf, and another, unknown cavalry unit.|
My father, Paul E. Deatherage, served with US Navy Patrol Bombing Squadron VPB-119 in the Philippines during World War II. He was the only member of his deployment crew to survive the war.

I am helping my friend find information on his father, Sgt. John A. Becker and saw your post.
Sgt. Becker is listed here:

I do believe that would be the same Paul Davis. He was my uncle (mother's brother) and I was close to him growing up. I would be glad to share some other photos via email if you like. My address is email@example.com

Actually, another FindaGraver told me who to email at the cemetery, and they were happy to photograph the sailor's name on the tablet, and email it back. Send me the name on the memorial, and I'll search and find the email address for you.

Hello Dave, I recently created a memorial for a cenotaph which was placed in the hometown of a soldier who died in The Philippines. He was Robert I. Suhl, memorial 56763741. I saw that you placed a great photograph of his unit on that memorial. May I please use this photograph on his cenotaph memorial (memorial 143944709 ) Lower Cemetery, Phillipston, Ma. ? I have noted on the memorial his actual burial place and linked to it directly.
Thank You for your consideration. James

Thanks for your quick reply, Dave.
Yes, Nancy is my given name. Molly was from when I owned a quilt shop, Miss Molly's.
Your information is very much appreciated. If you think of anything more, we'd love to have it... you have at least 3 years to come up with something! :)
It's all volunteer labor and financed with fund raisers. We're thinking at least $10,000. As we get a little further on, I'll post a picture. If you don't live too far away, we'd love to have you at the dedication.
