I am a native of south Georgia and love Genealogy. Having been placed on this earth in Waycross, GA, I have lived in south Georgia all my life. |
I became interested in genealogy in 1994 and soon discovered my ancesters are of Scotch/Irish descent coming to America in the 1600-1700's and settling in North Carolina. Migration took them primarily into Tennessee, south Georgia and the Polk County area of Florida. Families I research include Johnson, Boyette, Sellers, Lee, Branch, Conkin, Mashburn, Peacock, Fish, McIntosh, McKay, Altman, and others.
I have been employed in the medical profession for over 35 years. I love to fish and also love to cook. I would love to be able to assist others in their research in my area. Please feel free to call on me and to use any information you find posted by me.

Since there is no headstone for Isaac Carter, is he even listed in the cemetery? If so by what source? If not, where would you recommend I go to for that sort of information?
THANK YOU FOR OFFERING TO TRANSFER MRS. CRESIMORE MEMORIAL OVER TO ME. YOU DON`T HAVE TO DO THAT AS SHE IS NOT RELATED TO ME. THANKS FOR THE OFFER ANY WAY. JOAN

David, you asked me, "If you or someone you know would like to take over the Sapp memorials, let me know."
I would be honored to manage Levi and Eliza Sapp's memorials. I believe Eliza is my great grandfather Malachi Thompson's older sister. I am hoping by posting the Florida Archives genealogy gems on his memorial, someone who knows about this line will get in touch with me.

Thanks for adding the info. I didn't know her, but when I found the obit in some old newspapers that I was going through, I decided to post it. We can learn so much from obits. Thanks for the offer to transfer though. Take care and thanks for all you do.

I am so glad you have the two photos- someone had sent me a list of people for that cemetery and although I have most of the older side photographed I could not find those two. That was the only reason I had noticed the two entries. This person was from southern Florida but her family was from Hahira. Thanks again! Cat

|Tom Johnson||RE: Seaney Lee grave site|
I searched through a series of photos I took at Burnt Church all within minutes of each other. Some photos I took others had already added to Burnt Church at Findagrave. So I think all of the 15 photos were taken at Burnt Church. Seaney Lee is right in the middle of the series. So, to the best of my knowledge she is buried in Burnt Church Cemetery.

Hi, Seaney is buried at the Union Church Cemetery in Lanier Co, GA. I deleted the wrong memorial. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!!!!
