Edward Smith Langford
Billie,
Edwards obituary clearly states he was buried in Avoca Cemetery. I suppose it could be wrong but likely not. One of his daughters is buried there. Gareth

C Lloyd Taylor
Dear Billie,

I found a C. Lloyd Taylor buried in the Stanardsville Cemetery.

Could that be Owen's father?
Also is Lloyd Thomas Taylor , 1930 - 1962, his brother that the tombstone speaks about? Lloyd is buried in the Breeden cemetery with Owen.

I you go to Greene County and look for the Breeden Cemetery that is where you will find the memorial with photo. The whole cemetery is there.

Owen Shirley Taylor Memorial
Billie Jo,

Please note that I recently documented and photographed the memorials in Breeden Cemetery.

I found Owen Shirley Taylor buried there and photographed the memorial.

I did not find Patricia Elaine Legg who died in 2009. I do not find her listed in the Greene County , Virginia Church & Community Cemeteries, & Family Graveyards Volumes I, II, & III. You might contact the Greene County Historical Society.

RE: Mahaley Shifflett
Something else I found. She married Thomas Bullock on April 4, 1866. She was widowed when she married Davis Shiflett. Don't know if you knew any of this.

So if that is the same one, I am going to go ahead and make the link.

Not really related, just came across it in searching for other memorials. I guess distantly related by several marriages, but I can't remember how at the moment. I like researching memorials I have entered for the sake of getting more info or making links, even if I'm not related at all.

RE: Jerry M. Beasley
Hi Billie Jo,

I did not have a direct photo of the Jerry Beasley monument, but I cropped and enlarged the picture of the tombstone from the Minnie Conley plot. It is not my best work, but at least you have a decent photo. If I were anywhere near Gordonsville I'd run out to get the picture you need, but I'm several hundred miles away by now.

Good luck with your family history.

Eddie
