|I just joined Find A Grave basically out of guilt. So many people that I have never met have given me information over the past 10 years that I have been doing research on my family. I feel that it is now time I gave back. I have taken cemetery photos and am now trying to post them as well as information. Hopefully this will help others out there. I really doubt that I will be in the top 50 contributors though!|
If you happen to see one of my entries and know that it is wrong, I will be more than happy not only to correct it but to let you know what backup I have.

|This Old Scarecrow||MILLER / LOWRY family|
I have loads of new information regarding Jacob "Jake" Miller, his family, and likewise Lowry family info, and a crop of unidentified photographs that need to be examined.
In addition, I have several outstanding edit requests that need to be approved through you.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience.
I have been in contact with the Lowry family in Farmville, Virginia; one decendant has been particularly helpful in establishing many aspects that were previously obscure...we need to talk.

Are you a relative of...?
I found an association after doing some digging that a Henry Areford(Arford)married to a Mary McCann had a child Alex, born abt. 1851-1852. I found him in the 1850 US Federal Census, but I found a comment that he was probably Henry & Mary's child sent out with his siblings when his parents both died in 1857 to live with other families.
His siblings were sent to live with families: Gwyn(n), Barclay, Connor and Richie.
Any connection? Funny how the world gets smaller.

In your posted will of Esther Layton Gwyn , it mentions a daughter Esther Kinsey. As I know families intermarry, I have a 3rd Great Grandfather Kinsey Layton and I'm wondering if there is a connection. I'm grasping at straws but any assistance into information you have on Esther Kinsey would be much appreciated.

|Anne Winters||Mrs. Lettice (Rinehart) Wisecarver/ Gwynn|
Mrs. Lettice Rinehart Gwynn was born Dec. 14, 1816, and died Dec. 22, 1896, at her home in Jefferson, Pa., after a lingering illness, having been confined to her bed for the past year. She was never heard to complain, when asked if she was ready to go, the answer was always the same, "only waiting for the master's call." She was a consistent member of the M. E. church and was well known and esteemed in the community. She leaves eight children five sons and three daughters and also four sisters and many other relatives and friends. Funeral took place Thursday at 10 a. m., conducted by Rev. J. C. McMinn. Interment at Waynesburg.
Waynesburg Democrat, Jan. 8, 1897
She had a son George Wisecarver from her first marriage. He is found on the 1850 census with his grandparents John T. and Susanna (Strawn) Rinehart.
