Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love doing research on my family. I have worked for many years on the Huckaby-Ring, Hardison-Nicholson, Bradford-Sanders,and Carpenter-Johnson lines, from North Carolina, Virginia down to Tennessee and North Alabama.

Any time you find an error or have a question about any of my listings, I would love to hear from you. My aim is accuracy and history of these people. My only suggestion to others adding to Find A Grave would be to go back after you have made entries and be sure that your entry is not a duplicate. There are a lot of duplicates out there.

If you have any stories of any of the folks I have listed, I would love to hear them.

RE: Atkins Jefferson McLemore
You're very welcome! That's what usually happens, and it's happened to me - I created a memorial for an ancestor and hadn't found the one that was already there!

RE: Fanny McLemore166299187
Hi, Scarlet - The mystery is solved! Fanny and her husband are buried in Oakwood ANNEX, which is right across the street from Oakwood, but it is a different cemetery. I'll go out there Monday and take the photos and post them.

RE: Fanny McLemore166299187
Hi, Scarlet - If you have any information about where Fanny and Atkins are buried in Oakwood, please let me know. I was at Oakwood today and looked for them, but found only Jeff Harding and Mollie Watkins McLemore. However, behind their graves there is a large concrete slab with only 1 headstone on it - for Elizabeth Campbell, born 8/3 1869 and died 8/3/1872, aged 3 years. Do you know if she is a relative? Please email me the death certificate(s) and a photo of Fanny's husband's monument, if you can - LizTait78731@gmail.com - and maybe I can find them!

RE: Fanny McLemore166299187
Thanks for the additional information. I'll try again and see if I can find them both. I'm still puzzled that these are the only McLemores on the listing for Oakwood Cemetery:

Jeff Harding McLemore 1834-1888
Mollie Watkins McLemore 1844-1935

They are buried in Section 1, Block 364, so I'll look there. I couldn't enlarge Fanny's death certificate so I could read it. Could you email me a copy, and a photo of her husband's monument? My email is LizTait78731@gmail.com
