RE: Hydens and Littrels
I found your tree tonight on ancestry. Mine is donohoefam. We connect in at Richard Hyden and Sarah Lane: son, John (your line) and daughter Mary Ann (my line.) Please take a look. Which Littrell is your line?
As for John Hyden, there was a famous court trial involving the entire Hyden clan. It lasted 7 years (I posted the transcript on my site.) The fallout was the bombshell that scattered the family from Tennessee to Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Everyone took sides. Good LONG read, but your John gives testimony several times. Eerie...His son, William Jasper apparently left Bradley County right after the War (all of his children were born in Arkansas beginning with John abt 1867.) What are your thoughts? Fascinating branch of our tree....

Hydens and Littrels

I believe we are cousins! Mamie's grandfather is John Hyden, the brother of my ggreat grandmother, Mary Ann Hyden (McCamish.)
I have been looking for information on John for many years as he seemed to disappear from Bradley, Tennessee about the time of the Civil War (last record, 1860 US Census.) So excited to find Mamie!. I am intrigued by her story (and her father, Jasper.) Could we converse? Looking forward to hearing from you.

Our family took vacation this past week in Branson, MO and on our way there we stopped at Frisco Cemetery. We could not find Phoebe's grave. Is there a headstone and is she buried near Coleman? My husband is a descendant of this line of McGarrah's
