Alexander Michie
Meme:

Can't find your email address. Regarding our phone conversation yesterday I found the Michie family tree on Ancestry that is a bit wonky: Alexander Michie (b. 1798 in Drumblade), son of George Michie and Christian Bennett. This tree has son Alexander marrying not Elizabeth Gray and living in Forgue but marrying a Jane Boyd and going to Ireland where he died in 1852: his descendants going to Canada and then winding up in Kansas.
Check out: http://person.ancestry.com/tree/2741549/person/1067900177/facts

Said Alexander who married Elizabeth Gray had a son Alexander (1831-1913) who married 3 times, came with brother George in 1856 with the intention of going to Canada - but settled in Massachusetts. See my Find A Grave memorial # 133727739

Best, Barry

RE: Watson Parsons
Watson was my great uncle. His parents Schuyler Parsons and Jemima Smith were my great grandparents. The death certificate states Roaring Fork, VA, but does not identify which cemetery. There are several cemeteries in Roaring Fork. I suspect he may be at Joel Sturgill Cemetery where Schuyler and Jemima are buried. However, I have not found a stone for him on my visits there.

George Ingram (??) Michie
Hi Meme.

Thanks for the additional information on George Michie (1883-1897). His birth record nails things down for him as the illegimate son of Mary Michie, d/o William Michie and Ann Wilson.

Would like very much to know how you came up with Ingram as his middle name as this bit of info is not on your Ancestry.com tree no in his birth record.

I notice his birth record is bracketed by the two other birth records on the same page, they also illegimate. As an aside, one of the quarterlies for the Gen. Society in Aberdeen I picked up in 2005 had an article on Marnoch Parish having the highest rate of "bastardy" of any other Scottish parish in the 19th century. The above said Mary Michie's father, William was baptized the same date his parents, William and Mary Grant Michie, were married. Perhaps there was something in the air or perhaps local water coming from the woods and brachen ferns of Marnoch Parish at the time ... Hm.m.m.m...???!!!

RE: Mary Spece
My father in law is in this same cemetery and the person who established these memorials also entered the incorrect death month for my father in law. I sent an e-mail to this person requesting the change.

RE: Hazel Mae Wright
Hi there,

I don't know anything about this person. I used the records from the cemetery to add all the people that were not yet listed.

Sorry I can't help,
Sandra
